  1. I know they've been somewhat discounted, but is there not a decent chance that Twenty One Pilots could sub Kendrick?
  2. I still think Foals are gonna headline the Pyramid on Friday.
  3. I’ll say it again for those who are confused. Yes Elbow’s stock has dropped. Yes they aren’t really a Pyramid sub. But they have such a well established history with the festival and have played that slot on more than one occasion. Yes they have played other slots at Glastonbury. But they seem a good bet to sub the Pyramid this year. So yes they are touring around Glastonbury but I highly doubt they will play any slot other than Pyramid sub. Especially playing mid Other. It’s a catch 22 that Glastonbury unfortunately falls a bit foul of.
  4. Not a bad shout, although it didn't go down that well for Bring Me - pretty sure they had a tiny crowd. I'd imagine that Catfish would fare better against Diana Ross though.
  5. I don't know why you're so sure about Stevie Nicks being there given that there's nothing to suggest she's coming over to Europe to do festivals yet but fair enough. I could see Dua Lipa subbing, but I also think there's a good chance she's third down as there's a bit of precedent in recent years of big pop stars getting that slot. I doubt Lewis Capaldi is going to sub. Not even 100% sure he'll be there, but I think third Pyramid or Other sub would be the slot he'll get if he is. I guess my point is that a lot of the names you're suggesting, other than Noel, are just logical predictions. All of them could easily be playing other slots or not playing at all, so to suggest there's no room for Elbow or anyone else to sub seems so premature at this point.
  6. But what competition? It seems likely that Noel Gallagher is subbing Macca, but apart from that there's really no one else we know of that seem dead cert to sub the Pyramid. Maybe Foals, but they could easily be headlining the Other Stage.
  7. The lowest, most surprising slot I could see Elbow realistically getting would be John Peel headliner.
  8. I really would be. I could see them possibly opening the Other Stage, but I don't think they will given that the last time they played was a 'secret' set on The Park. I think if they're playing this year they'll be given a proper set high up somewhere. It's not even like we've currently got so many subs that we can't work out where they'll play. Now Lana seems to be out of contention and Aerosmith don't look to be subbing there's a bit more room at the top spots. I'm sure there'll be at least one act subbing the Pyramid that's a friend of the farm, and to me Elbow seem the best bet for that. I think it's more likely that they'll win your award of "oh my god I can't believe they're playing that high again".
  9. She's headlining Governors Ball in New York at the start of June, so she is active, although there's nothing to suggest she'll be coming over to Europe so it's probably a no-go.
  10. I could also see Kacey Musgraves around 3rd/4th Other. I think she'd be more suited to the Pyramid (I expect her to be 5th there) but I don't think she'd be completely out of place on the Other.
  11. Another I'd love to come out of no where - Missy Elliott.
  12. That's exactly what I'm predicting right now haha. Can definitely see it happening.
  13. Is there anything to actually suggest that Stevie Nicks is gonna be in Europe around Glastonbury?
  14. Alicia Keys - 3rd Sunday Dua Lipa - 3rd Friday Gwen Stefani - 4th Saturday Sorted.
  15. Alicia Keys has gotta be a good bet to play post-Diana Ross with those tour dates.
  16. Aerosmith would never headline R&L nowadays.
