Does anyone know of any spare tickets?
Long story, but currently one short.
I’ve been refreshing Twickets and Fanticks for weeks but nothing is coming up!

First time going this year and can any veterans let me know what the food situation is? Can you take a sandwich or some pasta in? We are both vegan so don’t want to just have chips.

also any decent psych or indie, or general must sees?
Dactyl Terra on Friday are Psych.
Stumbled across them in a bar in Cardiff a few years ago and asked someone what they were called. They said Terradactyl but backwards. Took me another year of searching for Lytcadatrret and thinking it was a terrible name for a great band until I found them again.

Thank you for the screenshots and the clashfinder.
From experience how long do the queues tend to be around 1pm on the Thursday? I'd like to see Wesley Gonzalez at 2:15pm, will an hour and a half be enough to have bag searched, wrist band exchanged and get to the tent?
Almost certainly not unfortunately. The wrist band exchange is an absolute shambles.

Thanks for the set times!
Most of my feared clashes seem to be okay. I'll be able to see around half hour of everyone I want to. Phew.

Is anyone going to this?
KITE FESTIVAL - A NEW FESTIVAL OF IDEAS AND MUSIC
Haven't got a ticket yet, but the music line up looks good and the talking line up looks brilliant so considering it.
Wondered if anyone has been to something similar or have any ideas what it might be like.

Really exciting lineup. Same as every year, but now with added Kraftwerk.

There were more Settlers this year than I've seen before. 2019 was the first time the allowed people to camp on the field by the bar and there were even more this year.
A couple of tips for next year. I saw Keg and English Teacher play yesterday and they would both be excellent bookings for Rising. Keg in particular were such fun and would absolutely smash it on that stage.
Another tip is Early Mornings who were like a cross between Lovely Eggs and Dry Cleaning.
Great recommendations - enjoyed what I've heard so far.

£221.55 for a full price ticket. Think Early Birds were only £15 cheaper.
It's not going to sell out today, but with all the roll over tickets expect that it may sell out before Christmas so worth getting them now if you can.

Clashdestroyer
I was getting anxious about the clash between BCNR, Dry Cleaning, Little Simz and them so this simplifies things a bit.

Scalping are out due to Covid.

Also loved Ezra, Brakes and Felice in Tipi after hours - don't forget SnakeWagon though, shambolic and raucous in the best way!
That was my first year. I asked The Low Anthem if they were doing any surprise sets and they kept banging on about Snake Wagon, but I was oblivious to what they were getting at so eventually they just told me.
Being down the front for the Felice Brothers at the Tipi was also an all time festival highlight.

Lynks is a good shout. Reckon Dry Cleaning might be a bit too big.
My favourite secret set over the past few years was DUDS back in 2018.
Other than the year Ezra Furman played about three (?) secret shows (the covers one was best); I'd say either Warmduscher in 2018 (I missed Black Midi) or Scalping last time out.
-
I'm going for Just Mustard, Crack Cloud and Dry Cleaning for the ones already on the lineup. Maybe Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard to turn up unexpectedly. Lynks would also be excellent.
-
Of the Truck line up I hope Shame, Sports Team, La Roux, The Big Moon, The Murder Capital, The Orielles, Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs, Working Men’s Club, Just Mustard, Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard and Orchards make the transfer. Any few of these would be welcome and a few have played the festival before.
And The Streets and Ian Brown to headline would be perfect.
-
Booked my tickets yesterday. We're bound to have loads of questions so will likely bombard this forum nearer the time.
Looking forward to Black Country, New Road and discovering what else is on the line up.

The beer was 4,4€ for 0,4l in 2017 if I remember correctly. They were selling cheaper beer in the campsite. No cash, only cards.
Thanks guys. That seems about fair.

Surely it's time for Ezra Furman to headline?
-
For those who have been before can you let me know if you can take beer, food or weed on site? If not how much is a beer? Looks like they have a card system?

Just got back from Green Man and End of the Road and I fully recommend the following bands;
Black Country, New Road
Bill Ryder-Jones
Dry Cleaning
Just Mustard
The Murder Capital
Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs
Porridge Radio
Scalping
Green Man 2023
in other UK festivals
