Rise Against have announced a couple of shows in Manchester and London just before R&L - could they be added? Perhaps to the Blink day
Blink / Gerry / TDCC / Spiritbox / Neck Deep / Rise Against / Story so Far / The K’s / Kneecap
-
8 more bands added including Kerry King and Creeper on the main stage Sunday
-
That lineup is unreal

Come on, gang. Let’s focus on the announcement.
Top 10 realistic acts you’re hoping for?
Would love:
Fontaines DC, Turnstile, Good Charlotte, Sleep Token (semi realistic), Last Dinner Party, Wunderhorse, Neck Deep, The Plot in you, Noah Kahan and The Lathums

If Shikari are there I think it’ll be after their tour - wouldn’t be surprised to see We Came as Romans and Kingdom of Giants added after their tour with Bury Tomorrow
-
Noticed Crosses (Chino from Deftones side project) are supporting A7X in Europe, could they be a shout? Or perhaps one for 2000Trees…

BMtH That’s the Spirit 10 year anniversary 👀

Bad Omens are absolutely smashing their support slot with BMtH. Their set will be a highlight of the weekend

That Sunday is dreadful apart from Taking Back Sunday and Bicep..

euro tour planned for 2024, don't know about any festivals though
UK included? Hoping to catch them this year as I missed Wembley

What are the chances of Sleep Token? Can’t see them being added to Download now..

Idles are playing Piece Hall in Halifax so sadly would be surprised if they did R&L as well
-
Apparently ads have been spotted for Denzel Curry, Hak Baker and Deijuhvs - so wouldn’t be surprised if there are some smaller names on the way

Yeah bought my ticket today. Following the reaction was taking no risks. Personally incredibly happy with what’s been announced so far.

The Prodigy are headlining Isle of Wight - surely they’re only doing the main stage. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them do a MSW closing set.

Fontaines DC and Frank Carter are doing Hurricane / Southside in June next summer so could be around for R&L

I'm wondering where the actual headliners were on the list... I guess Avenged Sevenfold were high in the list: it sounded so natural to have them here (and all festivals). But Fall Out Boy and QOTSA... At least one of them were late in the preferences...
Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Fall Out Boy as they have no plans in for next year as far as I’m aware

It’ll be interesting to see the day splits. Based on Nova Rock
Bad Omens, Babymetal Fri / Sat
Sum 41 Fri / Sun
Wargasm / Machiehead Sat / Sun

Not much going on the lineup front, so I’m intrigued once again to people’s albums of the years, happy to make a new thread if people don’t wanna clog this one up
for me top 10 right now:
boygenius - The Record
Hozier - Unreal Unearth
Barry Can’t Swim - When Will We Land?
Young Fathers - Heavy Heavy
BCNR - Live at Bush Hall
Grian Chatten - Chaos for the Fly
Lana - DYKTATUOB
Sampha - Lahai
Sundara Karma - Miss Again (don’t judge it’s a great Indie record and hometown bias)
Ryuichi Sakamoto - 12
Jungle, QOTSA, King Krule, O-Rod and Foos albums just outside atm
In no particular order:
Enter Shikari - Pls Set Me On Fire
Sleep Token - Take Me Back to Eden
The Gaslight Anthem - History Books
Blink 182 - One More Time
Nothing But Thieves - DCC
Holding Absence - Noble Art of Self Destruction
Trophy Eyes - Suicide & Sunshine
Hundred Reasons - Glorious Sunset
The Lathums - From Nothing to a Little Bit More
DMA’s - How Many Dreams?

Can’t see Green Day doing BST with them headlining Wembley
Slam Dunk 2024
in other UK festivals

Nowhere near enough for me this year to justify a ticket. Also FFaF clashing with All American Rejects, Blackout clashing with Mallory Knox and I Prevail clash with You M@6 which are the main bands I’d have wanted to see…
