There's very few clubs who've had the range of different away grounds that Luton have had, though, the last decade or two most pertinently. Always a new away trip or ten coming up, instead of 75% the same grounds like Arsenal get - keeps things fresh and new
Yep, it's certainly a rollercoaster following us. I've seen us play at places like Histon, Hayes & Yeading and Dartford, you don't get that following Arsenal! My son is only 16, and he's seen us in play in five different divisions.

TBF I've been to watch Arsenal play over 700 times since 1994, usually a full day out, match ticket, food, booze, etc. 🙂
That's good going, must cost a fortune following Arsenal. Dread to think how many Luton games I've been to in the last 40 years, been going since I was three years old!
Think Blur must be my most seen band, at about 15 times.

Ticket prices for Kings of Leon: See Tickets - Kings Of Leon Tickets | Saturday, 22 Jun 2024 at 6:00 PM
I don't know if this is more or less than I expected. I also saw ticket prices for the BST HP show here: Imgur: The magic of the Internet
Maybe it's just the nature of the beast with it now.
Since when has paying more for aisle seats been a thing?!

Genuinely couldn't believe these prices. I'm paying about that for 3 days at NOS Alive to see them there.
I couldn't find any £125 seats. The £157.50 being offered were at the back of 505, really high up and miles away from the stage.
People seem to be buying them though. Front standing has already sold out.
At £125 for the cheapest seats, surely this has got to be the most expensive stadium show ever in the UK?
Hope they're faced with a half empty pitch and tens of thousands of empty seats when they take to the stage.

Not Glastonbury but tge new stage announced for Reading/Leeds looks impressive with the mesh screen over the crowd. I wonder if we could see anything similar at Glastonbury?

There was rain on Wednesday?
My memory doesn't include this! A Monday night downpour but no rain on Wednesday was recorded in my head 🙂
Yep, only time it rained the whole festival was when I was queuing to get in - got drenched!

Why not?, as far as I can see she just had June/July Festivals?
Because the football season will have started, so stadiums won't be free.

Now, that could have been anywhere in Loftus Road, to be fair.
Last time I was there with Luton, the queues were so bad to get in that we missed the first 25 minutes of the match, and then couldn't see the goal at our end of the pitch when we eventually got in. Some absolutely awful views in that upper tier.

yes, but not having it on sky and bbc news, hammered on radio 1 etc until after ticket day would be nice.
No way of stopping that unless you told absolutely no one about the sale!

It's fine if you are booking for yourself, but if you are part of a group it might be an issue. If you are trying to six people, you need £450 to cover all the deposits. If all six are trying you don't know who will get through first so all six need the full amount to cover the deposits. For a lot of people that's easier at the start of the month, before they've spend money on general life expenses, than toward the end.
You can pay on a credit card though, you don't need to have all the money in your bank account.

Well collect the money before then
Or pay on a credit card. I don't have £450 spare sitting in my account to pay six deposits whatever time of the month it is!

From the sound of it you were going to get 100s, if not 1000s, getting through to the booking page and finding they don't have a valid registration despite following the instructions back in August. Delaying getting in £10m of deposits by a few weeks isn't something the festival are going to do lightly. It's clearly a big issue on their end.
Interesting that some of the big booking groups are kicking off, saying they won't have the cash to pay 6 deposits towards the end of the month. It could change the dynamic somewhat.
How is that an issue? You've budgeted to spend £75 on a deposit. Just don't spend that £75 on something else.

fed up with all the publicity around ticket sales (and the festival in general) giving everyone a 'fair chance' to jam up the website on ticket day.
make it a zero-publicity sale with press embargo, post the sale date/time on the website and leave it at that - give people who really, really want to go and make the effort to get organised a better chance.
You couldn't prevent anyone else from reporting it once it was in the public domain i.e the website

The front page (https://glastonbury.seetickets.com) should be updated with links to either the Coach sales (tonight) or GA tickets (Sunday) at 1800 and 0900 respectively. It almost certainly happens automatically so will likely occur in line with server time.
Those links direct to the pages where you put in registration details, which are most likely set to become live just before the front page is updated to redirect to them.
There is good theory therefore that if you know the actual registration page URL it might be possible to get a session a second or 2 before 1800/0900......the only barrier being we don't (yet) know the URL.....
Last year I refreshed and got through before 9am. I was able to put in everyone's details, but couldn't get any further. Whether that was down to getting in early or I was just unlucky with getting through to payment, I don't know.

The coach prices don't exactly encourage you to travel that way, do they?
If three of us got coach from Liverpool, it would be £315 on travel (plus cab/bus to the pick up point). Car will be about £80 petrol plus (at a guess) £60 car park. £175 cheaper.
Would probably be cheaper for me on my own to pay for petrol and parking than get a coach from my nearest pick-up point after paying to get there (and it's not far), those prices are extortionate.

Would it not be seen as a form of gambling? Paying a price for a chance of being able to purchase? Hence why its still free in uk to register with presales by following a link not having to buy a cd/vinyl etc?
Surely it's no different to paying to be a member of a football club or something - gives you the opportunity to buy tickets, but doesn't guarantee it.

Really? The most expensive pint in our local village pub is only £5.25 and that's Neck Oil or Moretti. Strongbow, Guinness, Coors, Carling, Doom Bar or Worthingtons are all in the £3.25 - £4.00 range. Last time I was in London you could pay almost double that.
Yeah, still around £4 or even below around here. It's still much more expensive for me when I go to London.

Oakham Citra and black Iris Endless summer are two of the nicest beers ever brewed.
If only Glastonbury had anything even close to this selection of breweries.
Citra is brewed 10 minutes walk from my house. It's always on around here (and really cheap at my local), so probably take it for granted and don't have it as often as I should, it's a great beer.

It’s been a good run of festivals weather wise so was bound to break at some point. Plus the current heatwave was bound to crash back to reality as well.
Time to waterproof my electrics in my hat.
Current heatwave?! Had two nice days in the last three weeks here. Was 10C on Tuesday, people had their winter coats on!

If you're talking about the one I'm thinking off, that IPA at Trickett's was amazing - probably helped by the fact it was ridiculously hot, and it was probably the coldest pint I've ever had! Was by Bristol Beer Factory. Also had it at Avalon.
