  1. idles headlining the other stage at glasto makes the eotr slot look good
  2. there is 1 gate depends what you mean by good. I wouldn't want to be too near the toilets / showers. Its one big flat field so there is no difference apart from walking time and we are only talking 1-2 minutes. The field is never anywhere near full and there is usually a bit of leeway and shuffling around unless you're a d*ck about it.
  3. I've not seen them or anything but SLIFT feck me I'm there
  4. Lineup looks good to me Probably won't see Idles but it will be a good show for those who will. Imagine if they got James Murphy to popup over after APE, I'd flip my lid (won't happen).
  5. On headliners. Not bothered else I would not have got tickets already, but talking generally ....... Please can we have a good set of headline acts on woods/garden that you can dance or jump around to. I'm not talking every single night on both, variety is great, and the best night I had this year was not that upbeat, but some years have struggled a bit in this department. This year got the mix bang on imo. Plus less white male headliners. I see effort at EOTR compared to other festivals. Keep pushing please. On the rest of the bill. Keep doing what you are doing. Those posting above with those humongous lists of acts. Genuine question. Where are you getting the info on these people? I recognize at best 1/4 of that long list. For me EOTR is a prime source of finding new-to-me music I like, but it would be great to expand my horizons a bit more.
  6. Tickets in the bag Now just need to get me some cargo shorts. New rule - you should post a picture of your own sartorial excellence before you criticize others.
  7. Oh yes. Biggest drama: the peahen that ran her peateans through the garden at dusk last night, got freaked, then flew away and left them! It even made me want to call the kids! Omg nature!
  8. Best EOTR we've done hands down. Not sure if I've still got the festival buzz or not, but I think Kokoko -> Angel Olsen -> Panda Bear / Sonic Boom was the best festival night I've ever had. Left a bit of mind in at that sonic boom set. If you see it, please return. Everyone I saw was good, most I saw were very very very good. Unexpected random good finds: Sweet Baboo, They Hate Change, Allah-Las. Master Peace even though I went to the wrong place wanting to see Sculpture 🙂 Wet leg worked for me. I'm into Gizzard so obvs that was amazing. I even thought I finally 'got' future islands, but I tell you that deep gutteral bits he does are well odd. So, wet leg and future islands, makes me a c**t then 🙂 Food was tip top. Rendang me up. Those smoking Joe's burgers. The pizza place. The ice cream by the garden, and their ice coffee. Glad they got shot of metro land, this year's selection was better. I have to say that my experience was greatly improved by not drinking myself stupid until much later on in the day, which was a bit of a revelation. As was taking a festival shower for the first time in 30+ years of going to them. It was most pleasant. Why didn't anyone tell me? Toilets? Maybe could be better, but I thought better than last year tbh. Wasps don't bother me but I get if you're allergic or something.
  9. Thought that they where better than last year tbh. They stank a bit sure, but nowhere near as much as a nice full portaloo does after a day in the sun. Admit a bit of lighting and hand rails would make things better. Maybe some sanitizer in each cube. Some urinals in the campsites would help.
  10. Personal Trainer have had their gear stolen. Help them out. Or not, I'm not the boss of you. https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-personal-trainer-after-stolen-equipment
  11. On Gizzard. Hoping for something like the recent jammy red rocks recordings with a bit of acoustic, synth, and flute action. They looked pretty good there.
  12. I was not joking about Aphex Twin. He confirmed to me just now when we were communing on the astral plane
  13. Yes, see that's because ??? is Aphex Twin, he told me in a dream
  14. I wouldn't expect them to be raven it up
  15. gizzard arooj norgren olsen panda caroline teke:teke crack cloud personal trainer caitlin rose + quite a few after that Last year I struggled to get 10 tbh
  16. Its aphex twin isn't it. Stopping off on his way up to Bristol from Cornwall. Makes sense.
  17. disappointing lack of swords in that video, but yeah, everything else is there.
  18. See aphex twin is doing bristol on the saturday. Do you think if we all concentrated at the same time to send a telepathic message to him that he would pop by? It's kind of on the way to cornwall right? Katy J Pearson more likely I guess but I don't think her mind is open to messages like that
  19. You checked previous line ups before you bought a ticket right?
  20. Prefer this lineup to last year personally Don't get what was there in previous years that people feel is missing this year. It all looks very EOTR, not sure what you are expecting really. There are never 'big' headliners, loads of other festivals do that better, maybe even for less money. That is old news, it's not that kind of festival. If you don't feel it this year, nobody is forcing you
  21. Quite into this lineup personally (I am boring, irrelevant, and male) looks pretty standard EOTR to me, but I've only been to 3, maybe I'm not part of the family
  22. oooh I love me some Gizz ..... and the murlocs I notice so hanging around I bit then And arooj aftab pls don't clash
