  1. Looks like someone beat me to it! But heres the updated clashfinder: https://clashfinder.com/s/truck2021possible/
  2. Oh man! I didn't mean to break the tradition 😅 thanks for doing that though, clashfinders have been crucial to every festival I've ever been too, so I thought I'd repay the debt this year by taking up the mantle. If I need any advice, I'll be sure to consult you as the expert 😄 that's so cool that they got in contact, great to see how much they value it as a tool!
  3. I'll get to work on the clashfinder (based on the 2019 timings) this evening, so you guys can start planning and come to terms with some of these horrible clashes as soon as possible haha. Loving some of these additions, Everything Everything is a big dub fourth down. Clashes with anything and the main stage are usually limited to around 15 minutes, while the Nest and Market have clashed directly in the past.
  4. Slightly off topic but thought I’d get a good response here, when are everyone’s first gigs back?? Reading was my last festival in 2019, managed to catch PUP, Tamino and The Chats after that, but I’m absolutely craving gigs now. I’ve got Squid on the 22nd June and then Truck in July, can’t bloody wait!
  5. Courting would be a fantastic booking, especially with the likes of Squid and Sports Team already on the line up. In terms of DJs, wouldn’t be surprised to see Nathan Dawe and Sigala as with the Y Not line up (Sigala was pretty good on a uni night a few years back). Can’t say I was massively impressed with the DJ sets last time out.
  6. Circa Waves seem the type of band to take an earlier slot on the main stage - even though they’re probably as popular with attendees as some of the artists listed above them - always great in the summer sun that being said, I’d be very surprised if Easy Life were billed above them or even bands like Sports Team or Pale Waves
  7. Good luck with the tickets! 2019 we thought the top 6 was confirmed and Don Broco turned out to be a 3rd down, obviously the subs this time are bigger than them, but Johnny Marr slid into a sub spot so fingers crossed for Everything Everything turning up. Hoping they add The Murder Capital and Gang of Youths personally.
  8. Here's a very early clashfinder based on the estimated poster above and stage times from previous years. Always loved the way the Truck and Market stages alternated in previous years, definitely some potential for some strong runs! I've got Fontaines in 3rd for now, I've just got a feeling we could see Everything Everything come in to sub on the friday, but who knows. https://clashfinder.com/s/truck2021possible/
  9. Way better than expected, IDLES bagged as a sub is awesome, great stuff all the way down.
  10. What about Alt-J? I couldn't see it but would love if they booked them.
  11. Glass Animals are definitely headliner sized, especially with Heat Waves popping off at the moment. Pessimistically I'm thinking Blossoms(t)/Stereophonics/Kooks/IDLES. I'm really hoping it's only one of Kooks and Stereophonics but seeing as The Kooks are sticking about on line-ups I can see them being rebooked and not as a sub. Would love to see Bombay Bicycle Club return to the line-up, Glass Animals would be a good booking too as would IDLES. London Grammar are also a shout, Bastille a possibility if they're available. I'd be surprised to see Wolf Alice or Foals return but they're better bookings than anyone else being suggested. Blossoms would make a fun headliner, I thought they were a bit of a coup for the Thursday. Definitely think The Vaccines could be there too and then Royal Blood would be a big booking, I'd say it's either them or IDLES for the third slot. Further down I'd definitely anticipate DMAs returning for their sub slot, The Hives maybe too, Fontaines D.C. would make a strong sub especially for IDLES or RB. Shame would absolutely kill it in 3rd or 4th on Main off the back of Drunk Tank Pink. Fully expecting Pale Waves and Sundara to retain their tent headliner spots, thought they were pretty strong picks. There's alot of potential, so Stereophonics and The Kooks as two headliners would be a massive let down imo.
  12. A Foals, Wolf Alice and Everything Everything day please.
  13. Nice design mate, do you have the template for this? I'd love to play around with it. 100 Gecs as the Dance Stage headliner is hilariously great but could defo see them heading up the FR stage if it sticks about. I think your main stage estimates are pretty good besides the Catfish run and I'd just swap Wolf Alice (who could probably even sub) and Charli XCX around. Personally I think Doja will be at most 3rd down, if you take out Madison Beer and drop her and The Hunna down one (special guest in 4th would make more sense) you've got room for another sub. I like the additions of Inhaler, Gender Roles + Black Peaks, great bands. Nice job.
  14. Was thinking Architects could clash with Post or Stormzy heading up whatever this second stage may be, hard to say without knowing what it’ll look like, but they headlined the North Stage at APE last year
  15. Charli needs to do more of her solo stuff rather than just playing the hits, obviously they go down well with a mainstream crowd
  16. Absolutely knocked it out of the park live at Rock Werchter 2017 and I don’t even really listen to them. Reckon they’d go down a storm at Reading tbh.
  17. Looks like PJ have cancelled their NA dates running from March 18th through to April 19th..
  18. Charli will definitely be main stage! That second stage area at Finsbury Park is far too small and she’s the second biggest name on the line up. I’d expect she’ll be sub or atleast 3rd main.
  19. Any idea how many of these will take prominent positions? Barn headliners or high up on that stage, Main Stage etc.
  20. I think they just go for what they believe is the best line up possible. Ofcourse they are a Belgian festival and will go for what is popular in the region but ofcourse they are also mindful of the international draw the festival has. The festival doesn’t always go for what is exactly popular in the moment like Mad Cool, Reading Festival or Pukkelpop but they seem to do well with the formula they have. I also feel like they go for artists on the back of new releases, they haven’t booked bands like Alt-J, London Grammar, Royal Blood or Wolf Alice as they’ve not released anything since their last appearance; whereas Mad Cool doesn’t seem to mind. Pearl Jam and The Strokes both have new material coming before this edition, Anderson. Paak has dropped two albums since his appearance two years ago, Thom Yorke, The Lumineers, Liam G, Bombay Bicycle Club and many more all have albums out recently. Ofcourse, SOAD don’t ever have new music but are very popular. The others like Kendrick, Twenty One Pilots etc, haven’t played recently if ever. I think they are slightly tactical about this though. RW have the foresight to save artists for a better time which works with the small number of stages and artists per day.
  21. Johnny Marr was a pretty big late addition last year and we’re expecting one more sub so The Wombats would be a strong one for sure.
  22. They would have to play around 3pm Main Stage right? Like Stereophonics and The 1975 in previous years who are also UK headliners everywhere they go. I guess they’re just not willing to accept that, just like Kasabian.
  23. I hope so! They deserve it and APE is a great festival, but I’d still love a free ticket 😉
