  1. AND EOTR is 6 weeks after Latitude when more people have been vaccinated and, if present trends continue, infection rates should be much lower.

  3. The mud bit will be entirely wrong in 2022.
  4. I think you're right. They've a nice little tour coming up (also got a ticket to see them in Bedford in October - lost count of how many times that's been postponed) and so a warm up gig at EOTR would go down a treat.
  5. British Sea Power have just announced a gig in Milton Keynes on the Thursday after EOTR, so they must be available for the weekend if they're looking for replacements.
  6. I'm very much in the "I just want to be there" camp. So long as there's some beer, some food and some music then I'll be happy so long as I can just chill and chat. If the line up changes, well so be it. If it gets desperate and bands end up playing extra sets - I don't care! It won't be like the usual EOTR, what else is "usual" at the moment, but it will still be brilliant. (Mind you @robith's Amanda Holden one woman show might be taking things a little too far).
  7. As an old white guy, I would be very disappointed to see two old white guys headlining. Elton has had plenty of chances to have played before, if this is his last tour and he misses out - tough. Mind you, one of the best gigs I've ever been too was Elton in '73??
  8. To be fair, I think The Prodigy had more than just Firestarter.
  9. Unsurprisingly, I am not able to help - many years since I needed a hairdryer. Sorry.
  10. The Prodigy 95 LCD Soundsystem 95 (+10)
  11. I won't be needing my tickets so have an adult ticket and a campervan pass for sale at cost. DM me for details before I put them on Twickets on Monday.
  12. The Prodigy 135 (-5) LCD Soundsystem 105 (+5)
  13. That Murder Capital set in the Tipi was one of the highlights of the 2019 weekend. BSP - one of the best live bands around.
  14. Three suggestions for additions. The Surfing Magazines are at Green Man and have a new album coming out. Anna B Savage is at Sea Change the weekend before. Wet Leg, only one song I know but apparently did a great set at Latitude.
  15. Thanks very much for the heads up. As somebody who spent a glorious few days last weekend in the company of a trans friend I would have been more than upset if I had found this out after the festival.
  16. The Prodigy 170 (-5) LCD Soundsystem 150 (+5)
  17. Also pretty certain that Goan fish curry was missing in 2019.
  18. I don't see what reason they would have to cancel unless the bunch of fuckwits that masquerades as a government reimpose restrictions which seems unlikely. Infection rates and hospitalisation rates are falling and even if there's an post July 19th upturn, with over 70% already double-jabbed it shouldn't get out of control. From August 16th double-jabbed people will not have to self isolate following contact with a positive case which will end the "pingdemic", so there should be no problems with staffing for the festival or the traders. Double-jabbed US citizens can now come over without isolating (and I expect the US to change its don't travel to the UK advice before too long) so any remaining US artists on the line up shouldn't have a problem coming. Keep the faith, it will happen and we can have a beer together in the Tipi - other bars are acceptable.
