  1. Evening all, VM tonight at 7:30 and as usual all are welcome. If you're new to this please let us know your eFest user name when you log on, although it's cool to remain anonymous if you prefer. It's also okay to just log on without video for a while and listen to out ramblings to sound us out but honestly we're all nice people. If you're having any trouble logging on then DM me and I'll do my best to help. Losing my hair is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting. 2. Got here this afternoon. The ground is perfect to walk on and just moist enough to take a tent peg easily. At 4:00, it was t-shirt weather, then it was t-shirt and jumper, now it's t-shirt, jumper and fleece. You have been warned.
  3. Well, providing that I'm not on shift I will be at @Crazyfool01's meet where I will enjoy meeting the lovely people that I've met on this forum (it used to be such a nice place) over the years. I've had enough though of the sourness and pettiness of the former owner, I had hoped that with the sale he could bring himself to move on. For now I will avoid the site that shall not be named until said former owner no longer has any admin powers. I hope to be back on here someday, but in the meantime I look forward to meeting up with those of you who have a smile on their face at the Ridge & Furrow.
  4. It strikes me that the obvious solution to the Gate A - Bushy Ground route is - change the direction of the path across Darble, crew can still access Pylon, everybody else can join the new path along the edge of Pylon into Rivermead.
  5. And Carhenge, The Common, Shangri-La, Woodsies, clashes, Pyramid dress, fence, Other taking shape chat.
  6. There's loads to talk about so it's time for another Virtual Meet, Saturday 7:30pm to late. Losing my hair is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting. 7. Did they have that wonderful, sponge like Ethiopian bread that soaks up all the juices; because that is delicious?
  8. Whatever next! A paper mache fox?
  9. I do know Ben, do come and say hello.
  10. I'll be at Bearded with Oxfam shop which will be my third. It really is a great little festival with a really good crew bar. I'm just hoping that now that DHP have bought into the festival, that they don't change it too much.
  11. He didn't read the email correctly because there was a leaf on the screen.
  12. That was the thing with WG - you could pop in and see a band whilst circulating between Pyramid, Other, West Holts and Glade. BBC Intro and JP (as was) are out the way and you have to make an effort to go there. Need to make the new Woodsies thing an area, like the Park, not just a tent in a field.
  13. I'll be sorry to loose the WG tent, I've seen some great bands in there and it's been really busy - Big Moon, Lets Eat Grandma, Boy Azooga, Fontaines, Snapped Ankles, Black Midi. For a lot of bands it's been their first Glastonbury gig. I just hope that there's a space found for new bands other than just BBC Introducing. That said, change is good - the festival has to evolve or die.
  14. Don't know about hay (too early) but they're making silage in the stage areas.
  15. Absolutely. Nothing like a nice hole in the ground.
  16. That's more like it, that's serious stuff.
  17. No, Gabions are baskets made from mesh and filled with stone and used to build a retaining wall. What you can see in the picture is straightforward reinforcing mesh usually used to reinforce a concrete slab.
  18. If there was a hole to put the mesh in to indicate foundations, then I'd be more excited.
  19. 2 men, a telehandler and some mesh - I'm not sure what this tells us.
