  1. I did it twice but please don’t ask me anything about it 🤣
  2. Can't help with the campervan stuff but I've been since 2017 which did have a fair bit of rain but I can't remember seeing much mud; only in the carpark on Monday. Think the site holds up pretty well. The weather's been great last couple of times. You aren't supposed to take your own drinks into the arena but everyone does. As long as you don't wander past the entry stewards with it on display you'll be fine. Foods no problem to take in. The showers in general camping do get busy but are ok if your early enough or wait until the afternoon.
  3. Anyone with a spare camper van pass please message me. It’s for a friend thanks.
  4. I didn’t see it this year. One of my favourites.
  5. After our self cooked egg and mushroom breakfast sandwiches my best was calamari and chips, not far from WG I think. The worse was a spicy veggie bean wrap just down from Woodsies on the left; wasn't spicy and was too wet so it was a disaster to eat cleanly.
  6. We only ended up at SEB because Japanese Breakfast cancelled last minute. Was worth it though for some cheesy dancing with the group in the sun. Like a Prayer had a few of us with wet cheeks.

    Celebrities

I was stood next to Matt Healy at BCNR. I took this pic before I knew he was there btw.
  8. Our group of 12 ranged from ages 21 to 63 and the only real time anyone touched on mentioning how hot they were was around our tents on Big Ground. This worked out ok as a couple of us had big tents and the others sheltered under those. Loved the three or four times we sat as a group in the sun at West Holts knocking back a few pear ciders; don't usually drink cider but it tasted good in the sun this year. Even managed to stay dry on Weds as we had our second run done by 10:30. It was a glorious festival.
  9. Heard this old guy by the icecream van shouting into his phone explaining that he’s at the Pyramid, the pointy one 🤣
  10. Two of us met in line with the merch stall a few songs of the Blondie set in. Managed to get across to a central position just behind the surge barrier. Had a bag with a few tins and some rum and coke but didn’t touch a drop until a third into the Elton set so we didn’t need to pee. Plenty of sitters causing a pain but was expecting it. Was one of my best ever gigs; a massive party from start to finish. Really didn’t want it to end. Leant against the barrier finishing off our tins for 30 mins then walked straight to Toad Hall to find our mate.
  11. I've always got a pile of retired running Adidas running shoes that I save for wrecking at festivals.
  12. Yes, I remember now on Sat morning. Watching Whitney play to a handful of people on the Other stage. It wasn't for that long but enough to see plenty of ponchos being put on.
  13. You're right, Weds was the hottest day. Whole festival was dry I think but it did get very windy over the weekend.

    Beer Prices

£7.50 at the AM gig in Southampton with a 30-40 min queue for the first one.
  15. And, breathe. Much calmer in here than the Weather thread 😎
  16. Out of upvotes 👍 Without trying to upset anyone, I’ve seen the on end car pics and I’m bored already. Skip’s obviously ITK and I trust him when he says there will be more than just on end cars there but I’ll miss the venue and the decent upcoming bands they put on at sensible times, FDC, Snapped Ankles, Black Midi etc.
  17. This is ‘dry’ thread. Keep that sort of talk out please.
  18. 5 of us have 8 tents to take in for the group. Chuck em down and get them all up if we can; if not at least they’ll be claiming a footprint. Heading for Big Ground.
  19. This stuff is amazing. Used it for years. Put it on half an hour before a long run in any heat and it stays put.
  20. Mine are also in Nottingham and due tomorrow. I'm in Poole.
  21. My ground stake is very strong and will not bend at all. Takes quite a bit of effort knocking it in, especially when dry.
  22. We were sat down sheltering under ponchos with beers, waiting for the Libs to open the Other. It was proper raining but stopped when the set started
  23. Sam Fender looked ace, and the weather had improved.
  24. Was going going to see Idles but it was pissing down so I went with my lad to see Phoebe Bridgers in JP. We were sheltering on the edge of JP while Sigrid finished. Also remember walking back on the bank above the Pyramid and appreciating how cool the Sam Fender gig looked.
  25. Here’s what I did to make the pole fit snuggly. Loads of tape.
