  1. They give them to the landowners to keep them sweet. The landowners rent their land out for glamping as it's a nice little earner, as they are entitled to do on their own land.

There's also a farm in the middle of the site and anyone driving into the site to it doesn't need a ticket, you're not even allowed to stop the vehicle.
  3. I got a spot (or I should say someone on here got it for me) at 10 or 11pm on a Monday a couple of weeks before the festival.
  4. That was bollocks, a person that signed up to the site just to make that 1 post and never heard from again when we questioned them we got no response. They were just trying to put people off to increase their chances of getting a last minute space.
  5. They look nice but just hope the birds don't decide to wander around on the roof when you're trying to sleep!
  6. Hire a caravan instead, then you won't have to drive it.
  7. This is another thing that my mate said was good about Wateraid shifts, you start you shift signing on at the Wateraid campsite - rather at where your shift is based as it is with Oxfam. If you're based in one of the faraway Oxfam locations (but not far enough away for a lift) it can take 30 to 45 mins extra each way to get you to and from your shift. Had I not got a ticket for 2024 I was definitely looking at volunteering with Wateraid this time. Don't get me wrong, there's anything wrong with working for Oxfam, i'd still consider it as an option to get to the festival if I was ticketless, I just fancy giving Wateraid a try.
  8. Luck, if your idea of luck is cleaning up other peoples' turds.
  9. My mate worked for Wateraid in 2023, I worked for Oxfam. He was on the Loo Crew and his shifts sounded a lot easier then mine. Basically you had a start time and a group of bogs to clean and once you'd done them you could end your shift. Whereas with Oxfam you do a full 8 hours and one of the shifts will most likely be overnight.
  10. I'm in again this year, a friend snapped me up a coach ticket. Looking forward to not having to work, being permanently tired in 2023 (or on shift) meant I didn't get to fully enjoy the late night dancing options but I intend to take full advantage in 2024.
  11. None of the car parks will be quiet.

Find someone who's making onsite deliveries before/during the festival.
  13. If a hospitality ticket is £700 that's basically the cost of a GA ticket plus a WV tent. You'll get some of the benefits of WV - showers and [nicer?] toilets plus some others you don't get at WV - campsite inside the fence and interstage access. The only thing different is that you have to carry your stuff and pitch your own tent. I'd say go for it.
  14. This has been my experience too. Multiple tabs or multiple browsers on one device just slows it down. I would use 1 device on wifi and one tethered to a mobile hot spot on my phone. Saying this though, I wasn't successful yesterday but someone got a coach ticket for me.
  15. I'm in, friend got me in. First time going via a coach ticket!
  16. And there was me thinking the vibe of Glastonbury was inclusivity.
  17. As much as I love Dinosaur Jr, they shouldn't be headlining the Pallet - Meadow headliner is better suited, but I think that's even a bit of a push.
  18. The Magical Sounds tent used to close at 3am on the Friday and Saturday nights, but the replacement for it will need to be a much bigger tent for Orbital to play it.
  19. I think they're just using different wording so all the announcements aren't the same.
  20. Does 'headlining Catton Park' not indicate they are headlining the whole do? If they weren't headlining the Pallet surely they would have said 'headlining at Catton Park'? Jane's Addiction aren't coming all the way over here to play 2nd on the bill on the Pallet.
  21. Bearded's official FB account says Amyl are headlining Pallet, so we have the 3 main headliners. Isn't the positioning on the poster all to do with the contract terms between the artist and festival rather than position on the line up?
  22. Orbital are touring their Green Album in April & May next year so there should be plenty of old classics in the set!
  23. It's horses for courses, last year for me was a bit meh but this year there's loads of my all time favourites on there. Jane's Addiction, Dinosaur Jr, Orbital, The Orb, 808 State and System 7 and it's not even the full line up yet!
  24. Take a listen to their Your Living All Over Me and Bug albums.
  25. They didn't even fill the area back to the mixing desk, and there was a large amount of space to walk around in the crowd that was there.
