  1. I was there too last night, had a great time!
  2. Just checked, at Ally Pally it's: 19:30 UW 1st set 20:30 Transition playlist UW 21:00 UW 2nd set 22:45 curfew
  3. It's an hour set, 30 mins break (with an Underworld curated playlist) and then a second 1 hour 45 mins set - I think.
  4. Literally nobody is going to swap an East CV for a B&W but they do pop up again for sale every so often between the resale date and the festival, just got to keep an eye on the web page or get a page checker set up.
  5. You'll have a better chance of picking a CV East ticket up in any resale that takes place than swapping for a B&W but good luck to you.
  6. If you've got the shuttle bus then the festival site will either be open or opening soon, it'll be much easier walking through the festival site from gate A to C than trying to walk round the outside.
  7. Checked the programmes, it was New Tent in 1998 and 1999 but became New Bands Tent in 2000.
  8. A gig on a lot of the small stages won't come with a ticket. I've played Bimble Inn and Avalon Cafe and we needed to already be on site to get the slots.
  9. You're memory is much better than mine, I have no idea who I saw that day other than NIN. In fact I can't really remember who else I saw the whole festival other than them and Bowie, must've been a good one!
  10. I thought the same as you but I went and checked the 1998 programne and I think it's listed as the Bands Tent and as it was introduced that year it would have been the 'new' bands tent. You're right in that it seemed to put on new bands though.
  11. Campervan wristbands don't exist, anyone can enter the campervan fields - you don't even need a festival wristband.
  12. Oxfam won't like you sitting or listening to music whilst on shift.
  13. I kinda wish i'd been there rather than the places I was stationed last year.
  14. Yeah it was dead easy. A couple of times I got in with a hand stamp and in 2000 it was a combo of a ticket with passout and a vendor wristband - a big group of mates got in that way. I think 2000 was the first year with ticket/passout and they hadn't worked out a foolproof system yet.
  15. Be careful what you wish for, a cushy volunteer position could be very boring and the time will drag massively. A busy position is much preferable, being busy helps the time fly by.
  16. Yeah I saw A Perfect Circle too, I seem to remember a load of promotional frisbees getting thrown out into the crowd.
  17. This was my friends view too. It's not like he was picking it up by hand, they had tools for dealing with it. Sounds like i'm not as squemish as you, it wouldn't bother me. Toilets need cleaning, lots of people do it every day, it's not a big deal.
  18. Blame too, but I think he had a falling out with Bukem and i'm not sure he DJs anymore.
  19. I know they're not putting things out anymore but if we're talking any era - Good Looking Records/Looking Good Records. Anywhere tbh, but Glade Dome would be nice.
  20. My last attempt was 2000. It was very easy in those days, I remember after Nine Inch Nails played I went up to someone who i'd met's campsite, probably where The Park is now, and the fence was just lying on the floor - you could have just strolled in, wasn't how I got in though.
  21. I usually caught at least 1 set in there each year, it was never particularly busy in there though so i'm not surprised it's gone by the wayside.
  22. I haven't done it but a friend did Loo Crew for the first time last year whilst I did Oxfam for the first time. What he had to do seemed a lot more cushty than me. For example, he had to sign in to each shift at the Wateraid campsite whilst I had to be at my shift location at the start of my shift - so travel time to his shift location was included in his shift while mine wasn't and it can be a very long way to where your shift is. His team had a set route of loos to clean for his shift and once his team had done them they got to end for the day (he said they always finished early). I had to stay at my post for the whole shift and could only leave once the team replacing us had arrived - which wasn't always at the correct time! If I hadn't got a coach ticket this year I was planning to try for Wateraid, I did a 6 mile sponsored swim and raised a few hundred quid for them in September last year so I was hoping that would help my chances of getting a place.
