We got offered hospitality ones for 1300.  Random how they’re all different prices!

Probably down to how much mark up the seller is putting on for their own pocket.

I'm seeing them on Saturday in London, it's gonna be awesome - the Brown Album is one of my all time favourites.

Was offered the opportunity to purchase a village/ local ticket today for £600 (now sold). Already have tickets so had no need to show any interest. Curious to know however whether these feature the named individual and photo on them?

Might be named but pretty sure no photo.

Nah it's the press access one with the cut through bit and the hospitality bar access thing, but I appreciate what you mean about there being different prices.

But the whole original conversation was about me looking for other options to get a ticket, of which the poster replied saying no chance and if you do see one it'll be marked up to 5k. Which, when you're just looking for the no frills ticket, isn't necessarily true.

I think that's the same kind of hospitality ticket as I was talking unless you don't get hospitality camping access with your ticket?

It seems the people you were talking to just didn't know about all the options that are out there.

Not trying to be a d*ck or anything bringing this back up, but just to say I put the feelers out over the past few days and we have been offered a hospitality ticket for FV (£900) which we've taken. Mad expensive, but it is what it is. I think in a cynical world it's often hard to remember that people are generally nice, and will help you if they can.

Also I was offered another one for 1.2k, so not quite the 5k level - but still a mark up.

Sounds like you have a ticket that comes with access to the on-site hospitality campsite, which is pretty much a no frills affair that just comes with a few food vendors, private bar and showers. The £5k tickets folk are talking about are for the off-site luxury glamping sites.

    So far:

    LTJ Bukem

I was very happy to see Bukem on the Glade lineup this year, hopefully a late night set. Missed him last year due to being too tired after an Oxfam shift.

Hi Everyone, I’m trying to get a tent in either worthy view or sticklinch, tried in the resale but failed! Iv read through this thread and seems I could still get one if I keep checking.

if someone has successfully used a page monitor previously, could you please let me know which one it was? Iv never used one before and would love to get one set up as I’m desperate to secure some accommodation for the festival!! 😊

I've used Distill to monitor for Oxfam places, the paid for version is better than the free one.

Missed out on resale tickets so I’m hoping to get a place volunteering with oxfam (unless by some miracle I win one of the ticket comps!).

Can anyone, who has got a last minute oxfam place in the past, advise what kind of time they managed to get them?

From what I’ve seen previously, people tend to get them during the day. Just trying to work out if it’s still worth refreshing the page at eg 9pm…

Last year it was pretty much anytime during the working day, early morning and evening up to 11pm. Have a page checker in place or keep an eye on here.

Looking forward to seeing Orb again, but I can't see The Egg or any of the Hillage projects anywhere, that would be a shame, had a mental saturday night there last year

It's not Glastonbury without The Egg. They normally crop up somewhere else as well as Glade though.

I've heard this before but, as a Scouser who's been four times in a row (with my fifth upcoming 🥳) I think this is just copium from people who fail to get tickets.

The reason you see (or you think you see) loads of Scousers round the site is a combination of:

    1. Glastonbury having semi-mythic status amongst Scousers. I was always told this was because the security firms all came from Liverpool in the 00s (presumably ex-gangland/door staff?) and spread the word about how great it was back home. Simply put, it just seems to mean more to people in Liverpool, and we're a bunch who like to follow the trends of others.

Maybe some truth in this, back in the late 90s I encountered crews of scousers working the gates to get punters in without tickets - weren't security but could have had links.

Thanks - that's good to know, it's just for me but I had thought about re-using it after with the family, I'm also bringing it over on the flight so something smaller and lighter probably makes more sense. Maybe a pop up lighter one.

Go for this one then - https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/camping-tent-mh100-xl-3-p-freshandblack/_/R-p-331796 - I have one of these too and use it for Glasto. They do a more expensive pop up version as well but this one is really easy to put up.

Yep I've got that all set up on my laptop, along with Distill as a backup. Its more for if I'm out and about that I want alerts, as you just never know!

I've read that there was a drop start of May in previous years, was that announced? Or did it just happen?

There was an announced resale last year after the ticket resale plus there were some sizeable unannounced drops nearer the festival. I got a place a couple of weeks before last year.

After securing tickets this morning, we can start planning our trip.

First on the agenda, a new tent!

So recommendations please for a 4-man black out tent.

Will only be used once per year for a the festival.

    What should we go for?

I have this one and can recommend for 1 (or 2 people with limited kit) - https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/camping-tent-mh100-xl-3-p-freshandblack/_/R-p-331796

  14. There was loads of room in all of those campsites right in the north of the site in 2023, Lime Kiln & Hitchin Hill. I walked through on my way to my Oxfam shift on Saturday for 2pm and there was loads of space, if I was camping on site i'd look at going up there - i've been either in CV East or Oxfield for the last 15 years so I bit of a walk isn't an issue.

  15. I'm getting the coach from London at 12:00 on the Wednesday. First time taking a SeeTickets coach, took a National Express back in 1998 - I think that left from VCS, do the SeeTickets coaches leave from the O2? I have mates taking their CVs so will likely get them to take most of my gear, so I should hopefully be travelling light - so more luggage space for everyone else on my coach. Would've liked to have been on site earlier on the Weds but at least i'm going, I have mates that usually come with us without tickets and last year I had to volunteer to go so got to look on the bright side.

Got confirmation email yesterday, quite excited about this as not worked Glastonbury for nearly 20 years.

I think once you have done volunteering at festivals and then go to a paid role, you appreciate what other people are experiencing and I would never expect anyone to do anything I wasn't prepared to do myself.

Apparently there are 30+ gates that get covered, won't find out where I am located till nearer the time, but hopefully one of the busier public gates as it would be more interesting.

9 shifts, fed 3 meals a day and we get staff camping near the farm I believe, not sure what field but there are bunkabins and we will have our caravan with us (my OH and myself).

Will definitely try to get to the Monday night meet up 😁

Oh and I never Gossip 🤔😉

If it's the same gate crew that have a team that work on VG5 they were getting fed up by Tom's field last year so I would assume you'd be camping up near there somewhere.
