Nothing in the email but current crew can usually recommend newbies, it doesnt mean a confirmed spot though. Anecdotally there are more returnees every year which leaves less spots but there are always some first timers there so always worth trying.

1982 was my first & I will be 62 next festival, working since 2014 makes things a bit calmer but plan to continue for the forseeable future. Its a privilege to be able to go every year, never take it for granted.

They were poor last time at the IOW

EPO bands used to get you into most but not all, last year they reduced the amount drastically but our plastic worker bands (recycling crew) got us in Tow & Hitch, Maceos, Unfairground, W Holts but not Acoustic. Didnt try any others.

Speakers Corner Quartet is fantastic, Geronimo Blues with Kae is a highlight, its going to be special on West Holts
