anyone think Kings Of Leon would be a perfect fit under Pearl Jam on the Saturday? they are in Europe at the time.
Pearl Jam
Kings Of Leon
Sum 41
The Breeders
add another band 3rd or 4th from the top and that is a great day on the main stage.
If I was to add a band from the Mad Cool lineup that fits your criteria, it would be Gaslight Anthem.

Expect a lovely festival near the the ocean even if you don't see it, it's great to have some fresh air when the weather is hot. The atmosphere is more about a one-day long event than a real festival but it's still cool. I really enjoyed it last year. It's only cashless for what I remember. It's 4€ for 50cl of sangria (I only drank that the whole weekend) + 1€ for the cup. About the transport, I took the train Lisboa-Cascais to the festival (very cheap) or you can take an Uber (it costed me like 8€ I think).
Thanks for the reply Archi.
Yes, I agree about treating as a day out instead of festival, stage hopping etc.
I have read that they use a festival top up card for payment, is this still the case or can you use your own bank card?
I think that the festival card wasn't popular as there was problem with refunds.

First time attending after being to a couple of Primavera BCNs. Doing days 1 and 3.
Any tips or advice on what to expect or not expect ... Transport to/from venue, payment system on site etc

Tried to be clever last night, aimed for the smaller venues after seeing the queues around Apolo.
Just about got in to Penelope Isles and just missed out on Pile. Venue fills up, then it's a waiting game.
Plan is Poble Espanyol tonight and staying put. What time to queue? We have a mix of VIP and non VIP.

Was hoping to PomPom Squad then buzz in to Interpol but now thinking that won't be an option and should stick in PE for the evening.
Seeing interpol at Ciutat would have unplugged some clashes at the Forum on 1st night.
WE2 VIP ticket, but some in our group aren't VIP

The Strokes have four European festivals the week after and only Primavera this week. Annoyingly I am attending them all based on Strokes attendance
They've rescheduled one the of the cancelled US gigs for June 15th. Last of their (and yours) Festival trek around Europe is June 10th.

The weather’s been surprisingly a bit ropey in Barcelona this week, which means it will be amazing next week.
So Ropey again for WE2 😉

Could be a production thing with the Gorillaz stage, or perhaps they are trying to get make sure the Cupra isn't flooded during Disclosure. I honestly expect it to change again in the coming days.
WE2 only has 15mins prior to Gorillaz.

The app has two, one is labelled for travel so it should be clear. When I went through a Spanish airport last weekend they barely glanced at it anyway.
Domestic Cert is no longer on the app, Travel Cert only one available.
Edit. Just seen your reply...

Where are you seeing this, because I can’t see any events for 9-11 June on the CCIB website?
Talking Bollix Klaxon ... Apologies, I misread the website, there are freebie concerts but in other parts of the city on those dates. Grr.

Probably booked a long time ago by other promoters for "normal" shows?
I'm assuming Primavera only had booked the first week-end, and the Auditori was already booked to someone else when they decided to add WE2.Looks to be booked with events on the Thurs & Friday.

Since Interpol is somewhat a ‘reguler’ at PS, I’m hoping that most of the crowds will attend the Poble Espanyol or Razzmataz.
I was initially planning on doing Pablo for the full evening, but leaning at trying to catch Interpol in the Apolo so as not to see them in Mordor (frees up other bands to see)
Pom Pom Squad then over to Interpol. -

They've said to someone on Twitter "The VIP area capacity has always been limited. We ask you to take a leap of faith with us, we're sure you'll love the new area. It's bigger than it looks"
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and get back to being excited.
Also said that the front VIP area is indeed elevated.

Heard pickpocketing is a big issue in Barcelona & late at PS.
What's the best ways to combat this and what bag should I use to carry my phone/wallet in?
Looked into this recently & discovered S-Biners.
Small carabiner clips that add another level of faff for a thief to have to deal with in the moment. Remains easy enough for you to open & close when you need access.
Obviously, no protection against someone slicing your bag open but does work against someone dipping their hand.
The one shown is quite big, the smaller ones blend right into your zip.

Exclusive entrance to the festival site // Acces to all VIP areas until full capacity is reached // Access to the exclusive viewing areas until full capacity is reached // Welcome pack
Seems it’s the same as every year except that the viewing areas at Mordor aren’t right next to the stage any more.
Last couple of years has also included a beach club just across the bridge. Does appear that VIPs will be only ones able to used that bridge. Unclear if that will also be shortcut to BITS.
Advantages seem to be get away from the masses in Mordor which I won't be spending too much time at anyway, looking at my timetable. I think I saw mention of discounted VIP bars which could be handy around Mordor. There to be sussed out on the day I suppose.
I found an article from 2019 mentioning Desparados Bar & Soho House (sun loungers by a pool) ... I presume this is the area over the bridge. -
Anyone know what the VIP benefits for 2022 are?
Its chopped & changed a bit with the few false starts over the last few years. -

Stop giving them ideas.
