  1. Here's a few of my favourites from Elton

    Guns n Roses

As a casual fan I enjoyed it, but for me it was an hour too long.
  3. Yes I thought exactly that at the time! 😁
  4. He was incredible. He sounded just as good as he did 50 years ago. His setlist was perfect, and there was a Glastonbury moment when the sun came out just as he sang "Here Comes The Sun" 🌞 Set of the weekend for me (although Elton was pretty good too!)
  5. A deluge is possible today but it should be brief enough to not be problematic.
  6. Here are the latest ensembles, which indicate that even though there is the chance of some rain on any day (particularly today), a problematic deluge between now and Sunday night is off the cards.
  7. All looking good. The only fly in the ointment on the latest run is that big blob of rain over Wales on the Friday. It wouldn't take much for that to track further south, as per 2011.
  8. I saw him in April and he was pretty good. There are a few videos in my Facebook post, which I've temporarily made public.
  9. By the pool or at the beach, yes. But not at a festival.
  10. Have to agree with this. When it's warmer than this, the basic washing facilities, the limited shade and drinking water, the extra heat from sweaty crowds, and the unpleasantness of hot tents makes it tough going at a festival. But it still beats a rainy one.
  11. That might buy an extra hour or so when it's 20C outside, but does it hold up at 25C+?
  12. I love a bit of 25C+ normally, but it's not great at a festival as your tent becomes an oven by 8am, so sleep becomes an impossibility. Still beats a rainy one though.
  13. If you can remember last November's URL for buying coach deposits it might be worth trying that.
  14. The GFS currently goes up to the Sunday before and I think it looks quite encouraging. https://www.netweather.tv/charts-and-data/gfs
  15. Did they tan his hide when he died, Clyde?
  16. For what it's worth, EE still think they'll be the best network on site. https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Mobile-Network-discussions/EE-Coverage-at-Glastonbury-2023/td-p/1254527
  17. I wouldn't be too fussed about being down the front for Elton. He spends pretty much the whole show sat behind his piano, so you'll be missing very little by being further back. And if his O2 show is anything to go by, if you're down the front on the right hand side, your view of him will be obscured by the piano for most of the set.

    Lost Horizons

I did exactly this in 2019. In fact I think I negotiated slightly less than the difference to upgrade, although I only went back a couple of times for a shower when it was scorchio and the showers elsewhere had been turned off.

    Somerset Day

The main take away from this is that it's not that muddy on the farm right now, despite the apocalyptic floods that have happened elsewhere in Somerset over the last few days.
  20. I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes ☂️
  21. If you're interested, there's a few videos of his O2 performance last week in my Facebook post, which I've temporarily made public.

    Resale Club 2023

Not sure that's right. I definitely remember a time (2017 I think) when a person outside my group of 4 got my group's tickets in the resale, then when I called See Tickets a few weeks later to see where the tickets were, they said they were being sent to the person who'd made the booking (i.e. the person who'd paid for the tickets). It was okay though as the payer was able to change the delivery address to somebody in the group by calling See Tickets.

    Resale Club 2023

    Thanks, that's good to know.
