Grabbed some Blur tickets for Lokerse Feesten 2023. 60 euro per ticket ain't bad.
Grabbed mine too. No way I am going to miss this. Blur in front of 15K fans is going to be legendary.

Stromae is much better and sells much more
You haven’t seen Kendrick’s current shown then. It’s amazing.

Noticed we're lacking rap names (not a MGK fan, i guess). I know it's never a big portion, but I'd hope for something more names.
Is Andersons NxWorries an option? They're doing Primavera
Only Slowthai so far... Hoping for Denzel Curry. Would be a veeeeery small saving grace for losing RATM. And Little Simz of course, who is releasing a new album on monday.

Kendrick to opener, he's pretty much ruled out now?

Bloody hell! Even worse than Lolla Berlin.
Lolla Berlin doesn’t have Kendrick though. Best show I’ve seen this year.

Sigur Ros will probably headline the KlubC by the looks of it.
Some fine additions. Not enough to go full combi but we are getting there. Knowing those final 2 headliners would help.

It's not progression, it's genre taste. Progression would be a rock band taking the next step, not deciding you are into rap more.
I am not "more into rap". Ik like some rap, I like some rock. But there are awful artists in those genres too.

NxWorries, that side project bij Anderson Paak, is announced for Northside.
Considering how excellent Paak was at RW, get them in please!

I would honestly rather have Editors and RHCP
Of course you do. Progression is overrated.
Editors it is!

QOTSA
The Black Keys as a subheadliner? QOTSA as a headliner?
I guess NOS Alive is a lot smaller than Mad Cool but still...

They just added that the package will contain over 30 names.
But one of their comments also implies that we shouldn't have too high hopes about the quality of the lineup...
After what we have got, the only way is up...

Extremely talented and likeable young dude who's made a bit of a niche as a youtube star and music guru. Just collaborated with Stormzy on his latest album.
His solo tunes aren't particularly amazing, but his technical skills are absolutely fantastic to watch and he's definitely smart enough to do a fun festival set.
Listening to him now at the moment but I dont recognize anything. Doenst sound all too special either...

KENDRICK LAMAR playing Rotterdam on Friday.
Stromae / Kendrick hopes still alive?
That would be a dream cone true but after getting RHCP 2 years in a row and Editors I am losing confidence in RW showing even the slightest interest in booking somthing progressive...
Kendrick Lamar was easily the bet indoor show Ive seen this year though. It would be aazing for RW to be able to present this.

Because the Rock Werchter lineup is starting to look really dissappointing I am keeping an eye on this one (Blur!). Do we still expect some news this year?

Makes you wonder why they're holding off on them if they're there. They announced their Hyde Park gig last week so them announcing mad cool surely wouldn't have caused any issues.
Well we can safely say that "hell" clure refered to This Hell, a song by Rina Sawayama.
(Saw Rina this year at Primavera and she was great by the way.)

This is pretty embarrassing. Muse so very quickly after 2019 felt weird... but this is something else.
RW has become a joke.

I think The Strokes are only doing late Aug / early Sept period.
My guess would be GnR / RHCP / Rihanna
GnR and Rihanna are both afwul/boring live acts so I hope the Mad Cool fans get something better instead.

What if it‘s no Billie in July after all?
Maybe „all eyes on Monday“ means a lot of acts minus the last headliner? Which won‘t be announced until January?
Werchter to Sziget or even Reading/Leeds seems like a very long leg for Billie. I could see her starting with Sziget and doing R/L, Lollapalooza Berlin, etc.
I know @Ken19 ruled her out for PKP, but maybe it doesn‘t necessarily mean she‘s at RW.
Yeah, maybe I’m hoping too much for Billie being the big Friday name. It can be something totally different as well.
Guess we will know more by tomorrow.

Last hint tomorrow evening for the biggest headliner? Names on monday?

Blur is an option, or early summer festivals rules them out? Because Werchter seems unlikely and there's no Belgian date yet
Please dont say they are unlikely for Rock Werchter. 😞

2023 Thursday main stage: Blur, Halsey and... NxWorries? Loyle Carner? Central Cee?
2022 W1 Saturday main stage: Einstürzende Neubauten, Jorja Smith, Nick Cave, Gorillaz, Tyler
Not really comparable, imo. Don't get me wrong, I'd be fine with having a less stacked lineup after the 2022 edition, but I still feel that 2023 is lackluster by Primavera standards.
You are acting as if Ghost isnt a massive name, headlining big festivals in their own right while being put on a second line here. And NxWorries is a very interesting booking and one of the most exciting curveballs on the lineup too. Very curious about that one live.
