  1. I dont agree that there will be many people that dont pay. Why attempt to book if you have no intention of paying? The small (tiny?) amount of non payers will likely be absorbed by the festival and there will be no secret resale as there hasnt been over the last few years a new / second resale is possible, but not likely imo
  2. If you dont pay your ticket within 24 hours knowing you booked it…. There will hardly be anyone who falls foul of it, surely. i still expect the lead booker will need to pay the entire amount for all tickets booked rather than each person being able to pay separately
  3. They say this every year so no
  4. This is interesting, i wonder if they will also do this for the next october sale, regarding taking payment later
  5. Not surprising at all really still think we’ll get one announcement this week, avalon or silver hayes perhaps. The day immediately after a bank hol was a big ask. Lets have something wednesday or thursday though please!
  6. There is some kind of 1st draft lineup deadline* around this time across most / all stages which would go hand in hand with more announcements soon. * i am told by someone who works on a stage behind the scenes. might also explain why we’ve had precious little till now.
  7. Also this really is the new old field day isnt it? Im so here for it - v well curated.
  8. I would snap your hand off for this to be right as i would get to see almost everyone i want to clash free. Nuha ruby or model actriz > bitchos > duscher > viagra bois > joy o > erol > gilla band > Optimo // bit of avery
  9. Picked up 4 boxes of westons from tesco for £6 each today - bangin value also stonking value was 10x 440ml cans of stowford press for £6.50. 65p a can! Not exactly premium but you cant argue for that price.
  10. good stuff, not an area i generally attend myself (im brand loyal to block 9!) but an interesting development nonetheless
  11. After all this i bet there arent many changes beyond cinerarmageddon going and woodsies being very slightly reconfigured in layout. the only really big question mark is williams green and what is going to replace it silver hayes may get a slight re-jig as it does every year but should still have the same overall footprint
  12. End of the day its a bank holiday so they wont really be doing anything till tuesday, makes no odds to them they still wouldnt have done anything with it between 8-10th and ensures that those who genuinely forgot can still pay and they know those who havent paid genuinely dont want to go or arent able to do so if the deadline wasnt going into a bank hol i expect it would be a much harder deadline for payment
  13. West holts on the weds / thurs is horrendous. People leave their 4 pint carriers for brothers everywhere and their food the same. Its so sad, how can you enjoy yourself sat in your own filth and indeed everyone elses? Use the bins!! as an aside its really about time the single use paper pint cups were done away with. But the practical solution is always subject to loads of discussion on here. Plastic cups with return deposit or similar should be the norm and are at basically every medium size fest but theyre each about 10-20% the size of glasto
  14. Would be nice to get something before balance closing but doesnt seem all that likely now since an over easter announce is unlikely. should get something between 11-14 April surely.
  15. Boom - thanks! down to £1.12 a pint now! I swear i paid £6 for these about 3 or 4 years ago. Is cider inflation proof? 😂
  16. Surely it must be the 23rd April 16th is too soon after balance closure and easter break for them to have sorted all the non-payers 23rd obvious date 30th is a sunday of a bank hol Would be stunned if not 23rd and yes its always 4 general adm and 2 coach. Wont be 6 general adm unless they have multiple 10s of thousands of returns
  17. Fair - i didnt really make an assertion whether it was good or bad though
  18. These will be well in date for end of June now (the westons) provided you dont crack into them before you arrive / decant the day before you set off. i dont know the exact best before but i’d be surprised if they didnt have at least 6 months on them
  19. I couldnt agree with this any more!! Was at both amyl and yard act - amazing performances folly group and nuha ruby ra played to tiny crowds early last year but were brilliant. Its programming needs to stay, in some form or another. Black midi played very early one year, it was rammed. During the main part of the fest its great. They should just put small acts on the thursday which would solve the issue. Just put good up & coming acts that need the exposure and not Mel C and Bastille. Its not rocket science.
  20. I like the westons organic 3 litre bag in box. you can decant into bottles or keep in bag and carry round (gets lighter once some is gone!) currently £6.50 at waitrose so only a shade over £1 per 500ml https://www.waitrose.com/ecom/products/henry-westons-organic-still-cider/734714-776800-776801?gbraid=0AAAAADnhuuVCfiBk1OI3xkCGGCDjVcKPx&gbraid=0AAAAADnhuuVCfiBk1OI3xkCGGCDjVcKPx&gclid=Cj0KCQjwla-hBhD7ARIsAM9tQKtMlXMy9MJWtsYoc9SDTmYE9vpriLxAv0qj-WxuR0VitveDr-rkoqsaAoxOEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds 3 litres for the likely price of 1 pint from the bar. i make that over 5x cheaper! £1.23 a pint!
  21. You dont see milk vans / tractors going round the campsites any more i dont think. feel free to correct me if im wrong. The co op is miles away unless youre camped pretty near it, but as a coach traveller you are likely to need it.
  22. They’ve never done an entire poster in day order so im not sure why they would start now
  23. Yeah its not really an option if on the coach. If its any consolation our bags are extremely heavy and we bring too much stuff really which is a big struggle! You cant win, unless youre in a camper!
  24. Thanks! I see it as a money saver as breakfast for 3 people and cups of tea is like what £8 a day over 5 days? £8 x 3 x 5 =£120 One you have the equipment (campingaz, canisters, bread toaster thing, kettle) youre looking at say £20 a year max to get a new toasty thing annually £5 and the ingredients so saving £100 per fest
