  1. I’ll go Killers/Gerry/LG.

    Uninspiring but will shift tickets.

Edit: Noel G’s shifted a decent amount of tickets for the hydro and has never done trnsmt so will have him under The Killers.

How would you rate this year? Hearing mixed reviews from the people I know who went and videos of almost empty crowds for some acts. For me it’s being in the sun and listening to music. For the price if a weekend ticket there’s only so much you can expect. But hopefully with 1 night less next year having the a budget for 4 nights crammed into 3 should meant a more stacked out bill?

Gave it a miss this year for the first time in 8 years. Ticket price was great but couldn’t justify the price of flights/hotels for that lineup.

Hopefully the 3 days means a more stacked lineup as you said.

There’s the new owners also, so I’d be quite happy if they ditched this cheap ticket model and started charging €100+ again if it meant a better quality lineup.

I’ve mostly been floating between King Tut’s and The River stage but it’s surprisingly fine. I went with trainers in the end and that’s been fine, ground is mostly dry at the moment, though if it rains tomorrow it could get muddy pretty quickly.

The main stage feels like a completely different festival. Admittedly I’ve mostly been watching 6music type acts like Cloth, The Big Moon and Warmduscher but the crowd difference when you get closer to the main stage makes me feel incredibly old!

Cheers! I felt the same last year. It’s a young crowd.

Were there not rumours on here a while back saying that Courteeners are doing Murrayfield next year?

There were but I just can’t see that being true at all. Never even sold out the Edinburgh academy last year never mind murrayfield

Anyone got any tips for where to stay in Manchester? Got tickets for the Saturday gig,

The Old Trafford Premier Inn is already full, and the other Premier Inns nearish have suddenly doubled in price...

There’s a travelodge in Sale that’s only a couple of tram stops from the cricket ground, used it for a couple of gigs there before and it’s quite handy. Had a check and the prices haven’t seemed to jump up too much either.

In terms of sound? I havent been since 2016 but always quite liked it. handy to get to on the subway for me

I don’t mind it either, much rather the gig was there than Hampden.

    try twickets, twitter, ticketswap 🙂

I’ve had a look cheers. This was a bit of a last resort. Can usually get tickets late on to something this size quite easily, surprised at how rare the spare tickets are.

Anyone who’s been before - would you recommend Buddha or Casablanca for the warm up parties?

we went to Buddha in 2019 so not sure whether to stick to there or try Casablanca instead…

Bought tickets for both nights at Buddha, just easier to get to for us.
