  1. north of the railway, not a tent, no screens, east of Leftfield, are you The Bandstand (Marketplace) ?
  2. Thats a lot of vehicle for £3500! score!
  3. north of the railway, not a tent, no screens, is it The Gully Blues ?
  4. thats fair, I worded it poorly, 'is the capacity noticably smaller than the main stages' would have allowed a yes/no answer I guess, and yes, I was angling for MoS 🙂

    Train tickets

    do you mean this? https://www.gwr.com/stations-and-destinations/travel-inspiration/festivals-and-events/glastonbury-festival
  6. Addams Family is joint top #1 (with Twilight Zone) as my all time fave table. However, this is a widely shared view which means they are MEGA expensive to buy these days, I'd be wary of setting one up at a festival full of clumsy drunk people 🙂 Spent hundreds on Fish Tales at Uni as well "Hoooow big was it?"
  7. yeah, I was in heaven! I spent a good hour there playing on the tables and found the guy from the pinball museum who was looking after the machines and bought a load of stickers from him 🙂 'Getaway' is still an epic game 🙂
  8. I have bits and bobs going back to 1995, I'll dig through it all later and see whats there, I know I have lots of the pocket guides. I took these pics a while pack for anothr thread on here, but they fit for this thread too 🙂 Orange 'cuff guide' map there are two in the pic, it looks like from 2002 and 2003 but i'd need to find them to confirm.
  9. top work 🙂 I can just make out my car and caravan as well - I went on tuesday in 2019 as I thought i'd get a better spot nearer Ped Gate C, but no. I was directed to quite possibly the furthest spot away as possible, I was right in the corner of E17 😄 lovely and peaceful though 😄
  10. If i'm not otherwise distracted, I will try and remember to time some journeys while at the festival, I love walking about the site so I can get some 'real world' times. Maybe if a few other people also do this we can 'crowd source' it and take an average, that way it won't matter what day/time the times are taken, as an avererage is, well, an average.
  11. As someoen who used to go in the 90s (I still go, but I used to go in the 90s as well 😄 ) this is my experience too - I used to finish work on Friday, swing by my mates to pick them up in my VW bus as it was my daily driver back then, and we'd be in East something or other by 7PM. Over the years it moved to Friday lunchtimes, then Friday AM, then Thurs evening, and so on. Now that East camper is open on Tuesdays, I get there on Tuesday lunchtime 🙂 Obviously no site access on Tuesday, but I generally meet up with friends who also get there early or are stewarding etc and are already on site but can pop out for a beer. I'd go on Monday if I could.
  12. possibly useful for people in East camper (and maybe the offsite tipi stuff?), but you'd only need Gate C, which in a push is almost the Acoustic Stage anyway
  13. considering you can see it from outside the site (eg from the local skatepark) if it was being worked on, someone would have posted pics by now.
  14. For anyone who can't make out the text for any reason (tiny phone screen etc), I typed it up (to look busy at work mostly 🙂 ) I've kept in the spelling mistakes. Well, we did it – we turned the clouds into sunlight and we know that’s good. The fair is a beautiful event, now lets make the place beautiful. Volunteers are badly needed for rubbish disposal in many different locations. Will you pickup the vibes for a tidy Fair? Collect three minutes worth of trash and we have an awesome 30,000 minutes of work done. Last night (Tuesday 23rd) a car toured the camping areas at fairly regular intervals. It’s the Hassle Thrasher. If you run into a hassle with anything at night, stop the car and tell the driver. your woes are thus transmitted to the Hassle Thrashing Machine in the Farm and “sorted out”. Night trippers to Glastonberry wading through the green corn are costing our neighbour hundreds of pounds and hundreds of broken plants. Be gentle. Give the Man something nicer than weeds for a Harvets. Talking of harvests, there is enough food to go round, but water can be ‘stretched’ by using it carefully. Actually, we haven’t had a bad scene with either food or water. Can you share yours with your neighbour today in Togetherness? Break bread with a ‘strang soul – it isn’t a stranger at all. Cars are useful, but maybe there are too many underfoot? a beautiful person handed in a British Passport and a purse. This makes three passports now waiting collection at the local Fuzz Wagon. Two of these are American. If you know you havoe lost yours you can get it back from the Farm if you call today or tomorrow. Hey! Who saw a UFO on Solstice night? A researcher wants to hear from you if you did. Drop a line (or sentence or two) in to the Farm lower office today. Win a trip to Venus (the Secretary I guess). Whizz….. Snap…. Crackle….POP! Young tree dies. WHY? Ten thousand sighs turned on a hot day yesterday. Some cases of sunburn came up. It’s a young year and a younger decade. Wear a hat made of happy thoughts and look after yourselves in the shade. A dreaded Plastic Spoon Eating Monster is loose among us! FEAR FLOOD FIRE STORM * but PLEASE, give Sid back his plates and his cutlery so he can go on feeding you and me? (Please?) HEAD-LYNE of THE DAY: When Questioned about his reactions to the Glastonbury Fair, The Gentleman from the Time replied: “Marvelous” Local villagers have expressed displeasure at the volumes of noise at night. We could help by not clapping quite so loudly, and not breathing quite so often. (B)ut if you do walk through the village, read the signs ; legend recounts that screaming stunts your growth you know (you didn’t? Hell, nobody is perfect!) People are asking when the Fair ends. It ends like a circle ends. take it with you, the sounds, the smiles, the lights and the scene. It isn’t just an experience is it? It’s a…a…(you name it, it was probably IT) T.V. Interviewer to individual: “How many Organisers are there?” Answer: “Twelve thousand and one.” End of Bulletin. The Beginning of the World. Well.txt
  15. I hear they are finalising the build of the chair lift up the Hill Of Death to East campers.
  16. this link seems to be appearing and dissapearing for me, as in it says 'all allocated' mostly but if i refresh every few minutes it gives options to buy: https://glastonbury.seetickets.com/event/glastonbury-2022-ticket-coach-travel-thursday/worthy-farm/1450018 so potentially some tickets still left

    Worthy View at 11am

no, it's at 11am, i.e in an hour, don't miss out!
  18. Good luck all, i'm trying for four friends, got everything ready here, exercising my F5 finger.
  19. not really, 95+% of coach-ees will be people getting the nearest one, the rest may be driving / getting the train a much much longer distance, but it also means those people won't be clogging up the festival area roads, as they'll be on the coach, so it's a net win all round.
  20. I guess they'll have to clarify, but the T&C band I had meant I could go 'round the back' of the south east corner and skip the queues that way if I wanted, perhaps they meant that ? But I suspect they got given a Queue band as well as the Silver Hayes band.
