    Wet Leg

I think I will need to go back in for a 3rd listen then. 😅

    Wet Leg

Love that first Vaccines debut comparison. I was at Isle of Wight fest just before it was released watching Wild Beasts in the tent with Vaccines following. Wild Beasts was dead pretty much, I turn around after the final song and it was about 10 deep outside the big top which I was pushing through because I didn't get the Vaccines hype at the time and was actually quite annoyed that they had about 20x more people watching them than one of the greatest bands ever. I held that against for quite a while until the Vaccines ear worm machine worked its way in. Totally on the hype train for Wet Leg though, glad the album didn't disappoint and was not just carried by its singles.

    Wet Leg

Actually was one of my favourites on the record. I think the record slumps in the middle saved by Wet Dream and picks back up at Your Mum but they may be down to needing a few listens but I defo think I Don't Want To Go Out, Convincing and Loving You are the low lights and having them pretty much in a row felt like a slog the 2nd time through. Can't fault the final 5 though and ending on what is my favourite song of the year so far Too Late Now is hugeeeee.
  9. Glasto diet starts today. 17st 3lbs. Going to be a dull 3 months.
  10. AccuWeather do their weather 90 days in advance and Glasto is in 91 days. The very inAccuWeather rainy day before Glasto can't dampen my spirits.

    Arcade Fire

Yea as Zero said here is that snippet from the Pitchfork article. Not overly clear if he will be there come the tour or not but I hope so.

    Arcade Fire

Weird that the day the new single comes out is the day I am getting my Arcade Fire tattoo. I hope both come out with the highest quality.
  13. Looks pretty good except I can't see Easy Life anywhere but John Peel. They are most defo a tent band.
  14. Contactless so I can't know how much I spent. Can't remember the last time I used cash for something that wasn't considered naughty by the law and even then that is mostly card now.

    2023 legend slot

Has to be Hall & Oates, wall to wall bangers. Or let Roddy Stewart have another crack at it, if he would take it ofc.

    Arcade Fire

Yea that was my initial reaction but it was a nice surprise. Aye defo makes it easier just to separate the songs into playlists, never really needing to go back to the album.

    Arcade Fire

I was going to add it to my list of miss steps but I just listened to it and I quite enjoyed it.

    Arcade Fire

Not their best by any stretch but there are only a few miss steps on Everything Now (Peter Pan, Chemistry). The rest id I have in their set lists if they were interchangeable with what have become the older "deep cuts".

    2022 Headliners

I am so glad it circled back around to where we were a few months ago. Sing a long with Beatle and will be losing my shit by myself at Kendrick assuming my friends won't stick him out. I may dip my toe in for Billie but I have seen Foals wayyyyy over 20 times at this point so I don't feel obliged to stay at a main stage on my first Glasto and I get to explore! All aboard the hype train and roll on the announcements!!!!

All this talk of rain may anger the gods and turn our luck against us. We may need to offer a sacrifice.

    2022 Headliners

Not that I think sale metrics are a good indicator of someone's headline status but it seems to be mentioned a fair bit. Liam has had 2 number 1 solo albums and a number 1 live album. His singles have not done as well but to suggest that people just turn up to his show with hope of big brother showing up seems odd to me. His music is constantly played on the big rock radio stations. I've never personally gone out of my way to listen to him and im pretty sure I know all the words to all of his solo singles. Now am I pleased by that fact? No, but my brain can't deny a ear worm it appears and people seem to be buying/listening enough to get them to the top of the pops.

    2022 Headliners

Just found this from a BBC article in 2019. Looks like the ticket sales/parking spots pretty much covers the event costs. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-48750501

Now I know nothing about this sort of stuff so sorry if I am completely wrong but in terms of going broke don't they pay the acts after they take the due balances? So a cool 30m coming their way. Now I am not sure what 30m covers but it's defo not broke.
