  1. Last year Saturday and Sunday was set up so there were no clashes, you could easily go from stage to stage and catch every set, Friday was bad though.
  2. For those on Tidal I created four playlists, one for each day. One track per artist, usually a latest single, or a fave of mine. I download these on my phone and each morning at the fest we go through the clashfinder and the playlist. So here you go: https://tidal.com/browse/playlist/0f4b645e-2b3f-44d0-866a-711a8f130bd4 Thursday https://tidal.com/browse/playlist/be6344d8-a315-4675-83b6-027c4f7d32a7 Friday https://tidal.com/browse/playlist/69cfaee5-adca-4aac-b804-306c79763bf1 Saturday https://tidal.com/browse/playlist/8ec75a80-4a64-48d8-901e-bbbb9f0389f2 Sunday
  3. Hi, The four big stages are not too far, you can definitely hop from stage to stage, I believe that you could even go to all four of them if you stay only for a couple of songs on each, but keep in mind that for popular acts they get busy and you might need to queue for Tipi and Big Top as they have an one out - one in policy when they are full. Also the Garden can get a bit busy for popular acts. Having said that, I would try not to worry about clashes too much, neither try to watch everything, EOTR can surprise you in a good way if you ditch your schedule.
  4. Hi, What time do the sets usually start? I am considering booking a flight to Manchester for Friday which arrives at noon, but I'm worried I'll be too late at the festival. Thanks!
  5. Kae Tempest, Idles headlining, Horsegirl, Vlure, King Hannah, John Glacier, For Those I Love, Self Esteem, Cool Greenhouse, Soul Glo
  6. The good: Almost everything really, I loved the lineup, loved Porridge Radio, Black Midi, Scalping, Kevin Morby, Pigs, Party Dozen, Fat Dog, Grove’s late Tipi set. For the first time in my three visits I went to the Talking Heads and enjoyed some comedy, and in general I was more paced and relaxed than the previous times where I was running from stage to stage. I really like 13th floor’s coffee and the abundance of vegan food choices. The boat stage is a nice addition, but like everyone else said as it is it works better for smaller crowds. The bad : The toilet and shower facilities in boutique camping were really poor, one of the three blocks was always closed and the rest were blocked and unclean and without tissue. Sunday night the lights were out as well. On Saturday it seems there was a leak in the mains pipe, and there was a clash between the festival people and those working for the contractor. Emailed them about it and they responded that they are aware and they are working to get to the bottom of this. The Ugly: Conor Oberst clearly needs some help.
  7. Valerie June, Dehd, Lucy Dacus, Tune Yards, Cassandra Jenkins are all worth it.
  8. Go to Buy Tickets, click on The National and then buy from AXS and then go to VIP upgrade.
  9. You can through the app, it’s 65£ for vip view, 46£ for just VIP, but I wouldn’t bother with that.
  10. They have an app with the schedule, I think a few days beforehand. It’s supposed to alert you when your favourites are due to play, but this hasn’t worked for me properly.
  11. Same here, most of the lineup either are playing at End Of The Road, or played at Primavera, but I believe there are more names to be announced if last year is anything to go by. I am not sure if the BBC 6 stage is dj sets though.
  12. Last year we found out the set times on the first day of the festival. The good news is that especially for the Woods and Garden stages you won’t have much of a problem if you want to catch half a set on one and half on the other.
  13. Coming down from W1 of my first Primavera since 2014. The Pros: Parc del Forum is an amazing venue, the lineup is always stellar and most bands give a great performance at Primavera. Loved Idles, Little Simz, Pavement, The Armed, Gustaf. Was a bit underwhelmed by the new version of Black Country New Road. The Cons: It was way overcrowded, and this didn’t only cause problems with queuing at the bar. Days 2-3 were a lot better than Day 1 in that matter, but I found that you can no longer move freely from stage to stage. The new main stages layout means that you either camp there for the day, or make the trek from the small stages for one set. Also you can no longer catch half a set and go and see another band at the smaller stages, if you want a good spot you need to be at the stage a good 10 minutes earlier. I couldn’t get anywhere near Parquet Courts or Pond for example. Ciutat: When they announced this, I thought that it would be gigs in various venues and the park all day. Turns out that you have to pick a venue and stick to that and you need a ticket to guarantee entry. Not a good deal, but I got a ticket for Razz 2 on Sunday and it was some of the best sets of the weekend.
  14. So, I have tickets for both Poble Espanyol and Razzmatazz 2 tonight. Does anyone know if it’s feasible to go to Boy Pablo and be in time for Fenne Lilly?
  15. Gutted about Bikini Kill, Girl in Red and Lingua Ignota, but this helped me decide that I’ll choose to see the stuff I really love over stuff I’d like to see, even if they appear in the other festivals I’ll be attending, because you never know if someone goes down with covid, or if I have to cancel for that matter.
  16. Yes if I would buy a vip ticket, I would pay for the viewing area, otherwise I don’t think it’s worth it.
  17. King Gizzard are due to play Athens on Tuesday and Wednesday and this is their message Unfortunately our absolute juggernaut of a drummer has tested positive to Covid. Though he is irreplaceable, the show must go on. We are going to piece together 2 weird and unique shows in Athens without him. Might be a bit acoustic, maybe some drum machines. Honestly got no idea what we’re gonna do, but we gonna do… something. Can’t wait to get to Athens. We love you. Get well soon Mickeys Cavs xox We understand this is a big change and refunds will be available for anyone who wants them. Thanks! Sam
  18. Hey all, this will be my third time in Primavera, having been in the 13-14 editions. Even then I remember last minute cancellations, devastating clashes, the huge rainstorm during John Grant, I also remember leaving the sets of loved bands like JAMC and Television early because I didn’t enjoy it and going to catch a few songs from a band like Blur and staying for their whole set mesmerised. For first comers I’d suggest not to overplan neither invest too much in a single band, just go with the flow, enjoy yourselves and allow time to rest, eat, visit the merch stand and record fair and soak in the atmosphere, otherwise you risk feeling burned out and the whole weekend being a blur of people on a stage. Also surprise yourselves by watching an artist you’d normally wouldn’t watch.
  19. Got a VIP ticket last year from Twickets for a good price so I went for it. You get a separate entrance so you get in quicker and there is an area for VIP ticket holders with bars and toilets behind the main stage. There is a viewing area in front of the main stage, but you need to pay extra for it.
