  1. Don't be so sure on clashes this year... The old clashfinder will not be accurate. A lot of bands on different stages are staggered from each other, apart from just the headliners.
  2. Does anyone have a link to a bigger site map? This is my first Download and I can't even read the crappy sized map on their site. nvm just found it: https://downloadfestival.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/DL19_4890_PublicMap_027_3500px.pdf
  3. I'd recommend catching Zebrahead's set. Great guys who always put on a fun show and try and get newcomers involved with drink segments and crowd participation.
  4. Can confirm no Zebrahead next year at Slam Dunk. They are in Germany playing a Festival that weekend and will be doing Download instead. Edit: Really dragging this announcement...
  5. I'm not a fan of any of these bands at all... for once. Slam Dunk 2015 will forever be my favourite lineup.
  6. I am kind of bummed out at Birmingham. It was my local, I have gone to North and South and I actually loved North cause it was right in the City Centre, now I don't know how I feel about the new site. Also I remember years ago when they announced Birmingham they said they always wanted it their instead of Wolverhampton to bring over International fans. I knew a few German people who flew in to International and then the Festival was right outside the door. Anyway, I really hope Sum 41 are headlining. They seem like the right size and they are supposed to have a new album out next year too. Edit: Just remembered the bigger stage areas for this year, I still think main stage worthy, maybe the act just before headline would be fine.
  7. Sum 41 would be a welcome addition to this Festival. Marmozets I can see playing, same for Waterparks as they are blowing up for some reason. Would be nice to have Patent Pending back, they're always fun live. MXPX would be nice instead of Goldfinger. Pretty sure Zebrahead are playing again. Flogging Molly is possible as they're on the Fireball Tour later this year.
  8. Being 23 I feel like I am wayyy to young to know who these are. Not that I ever go to Godiva for the music, its just a good day out with a good vibe, but still.
  9. Had a great time at Midlands this year! Much preferred the layout of them shifting all the stages to the bottom of the Festival Area, was easier to get around. Although a weak year in my opinion over the past few years I've been, it was still great fun. Templeton Peks lead vocalist is very strong, was a great festival opener. Lower Than Atlantis were really good, so were PVRIS, my boys in Zebrahead (again getting huge crowds!) and Good Charlotte. During GC some girl infront of us threw up on the floor creating a very stinky little circle where people watched in disbelief that they just had their shoes chundered on... after 10 mins we all just jumped around in it cause we were having fun haha.
  10. It does seem to be changing daily however I just got pissed on a little bit down in Warwick this morning!
  11. Just perfect how 3 days ago the weather forecast was 22-24C for the next week and now its scattered thunderstorms ?
  12. I didn't get asked at any of the 3 sites last year for a donation, was just a quick name exchange and you got your wristband.
  13. Nice! I have had it before. Apart from free entry it also lets you in to the band catering areas, which is nice. Real food and cake!
  14. That's not scaremongering at all! I was hanging around the Arena most of Leeds last year and the queues were constantly ridiculous. You may say different crowds but I want to see Frank, PVRIS, and GC so i won't be moving and I'm sure a lot of others may feel that way. You can never really know though. I'm just going off what I saw last year. There were hundreds of people in those queues and the one in one out system was horrible especially as you had lots of people going through the disabled access too to get onto the balcony. So basically 2 kinds of queues. I remember there only be 2 or 3 separate lines to go into the Arena as well. With hundreds of people lined up going down the road all day that is ridiculous, especially with 1 in an 1 out. Why even take the risk? Fair enough we only have 1 year of data to go by but it is SOMETHING to base judgement on.
  15. Awful. It is ridiculous. Plenty of time for GC would be 1.5 to 2 hours. Reason? The Arena is always full and then its a 1 in 1 out system. Last year when I wanted to see Zebrahead at around 3pm the Queue was nearly going down the street... 3pm! Don't underestimate how much time you need, and even then you are probably going to be at the back. It seems like people who go to the Arena STAY in the Arena. Edit: Just for fun, this was the Arena last year at around 3:30pm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIyR7umLA3k
