Also keep in mind that Nova Rock green camping is (or at least was) very close to the Thunderdome stage, which hosts different night parties (from 00s alternative to hardcore techno), sometimes it was so loud that land was shaking. So no sleep for a night or two 🙃

They planned to put BMTH + Billy Talent as co-headliners in 2021, maybe same for the next year.

Hit or miss as it’s impossible to predict how his health state will be closer to the festival. A big risk.

As Green Day is my favourite band ever and Foo Fighters / Pearl Jam are in top ten, I really would like to keep some optimism about Rock Werchter. UPD: There's also sweet Nova Rock-sized gap in Green Day's schedule, tomorrow we'll see if there are some festivals which announce it separately.

First Frequency Festival announcement tomorrow. Wouldn't get hopes up too much as it could be just some Austrian-German artists, still they share couple of headliners with Sziget almost every year.

I think they'll get Foos as they owe them a show for 2020 / 2022.

Smukfest in Denmark just announced Sam Smith. They shared some headliners with Sziget in the past (Imagine Dragons / David Guetta / Justin Bieber).

If Rock Werchter can bring RHCP two years in a row, why RAR / RIP can’t do the same with Foo Fighters? 😉

There are many options. The cheapest one (€40 or so) includes only a camping spot, you need to bring your own tent. More expensive provide different types of already set up tents.

Camping isn't included, you need to buy it separately. Basic camping is comfortable and clean, you can even find a good spot to watch main stage performances without leaving it.

European metal festivals in August continue to announce their line-ups. As I said before, absolutely not Sziget's profile now, but since they booked Frank Carter, Coheed and Cambria and Clutch for previous editions then some "more mainstream" heavy acts like Architects, Motionless in White or Flogging Molly (all will be around) can pop up there next year. Also Rise Against and The Kooks are in Germany on August 16-18th.

Has anyone here been at Sziget this year? Any improvements in comparison with 2022 edition? Won't even try to guess who'll play it next year, as for now only some metal festivals made their first announcements for 2024 and with Sziget's new direction I really can't see any of those bands there.

Calm and very adult-oriented festival, and QOTSA this year was definitely one of the best shows I've seen in my whole life. Surely can recommend it if its lineup is your thing. Camping is clean and overall great. But the crowd can be horrible - very loud talks during shows, sometimes even louder than music itself, seems like people have no interest in what's happening on the stage.

Last year we also accidentally found that there is ALDI supermarket right at the festival territory. It was between Samsung Party Area and some VIP camping, don't remember the exact name. Prices were higher than in Auchan but way lower than in other food spots on the island.

25th anniversary headliners: P!nk, Kasabian, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Major Lazer, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, The Chainsmokers, Wiz Khalifa. (although undercard was impressive)
