  1. I'm only 23 and feel exactly the same way. Best part is the FR stage on the Saturday (Leeds) but overall, what a load of rubbish.
  2. Absolutely! I'm buzzing. Really hoping YUNGBLUD either subs Billie (would literally be a dream) or does the special guest slot - but that's usually a rap artist (e.g. AJ Tracey) Very intrigued as to who will be added! Glad there's over 70 names, hoping there's a little bit of everything for everyone!
  3. That's got my hype up! Let's gooooooo. Hope it's a good one.
  4. I really hope so! Seen him twice in the last 5 days, he's unbelievable live. Love him so for me, this would boost the lineup MASSIVELY.
  5. Billie will have cost a bomb so that's probably downgraded the others and I've seen Billie now a couple of times before so I'm not too excited (although glad she's there and think it'll be a good show) Capaldi belting out Someone You Loved will be bone chilling live but that's all I know and Killers is a good throwback but I'm not that excited tbh. The rest is shocking.
  6. This makes sense tbf. FR are horrible with replacements though if that's the case. 1975 for RATM and now ID for Green Day? 😬
  7. Only subbed before, if I'm not mistaken
  8. What's with the 6 headliners being the same in every prediction today now after a couple of 'sources' say so, like why is no one else now within a shout? Why these 6 - what's the evidence behind them? Just purely wondering
  9. Just make sure that's the bullshit part of the sandwich 😂
  10. Yep, the forum is going mad 😂 bring on tomorrow lol
  11. This is actually a really good shout.opens the door for a different headliner, and FR wouldn't get the backlash for KSI being a headliner while still pulling him in for the festival. Would make the most sense
  12. Rap isn't my main genre though. And KSI used to be a (rubbish) rapper, now more a (decent) musician with some absolute massive hits that are constantly on the radio, and as the debate went the other day, he would bring with him (the wrong but) a huge audience. Especially with some huge subs underneath him. He wouldn't sell out a date by himself, but his show in Wembley back in February was a madness I don't listen to Kendrick, Travis etc. So yes I would. But that's personal preference. And everyone has their own opinions which I respect. I'm just hoping for a good lineup tomorrow with some cracking headliners more than anything because Imagine Dragons, Foals etc. Is awful.
  13. What's everyone's final predictions before tomorrow then? I'll go: Billie Eilish Sam Fender KSI Lewis Capaldi Foals Green Day (should be a 'heavier' act, and realistically can't see GD or MCR doing it, I just don't know who else to put. Also appearing: YUNGBLUD AJ Tracey Central Cee Crawlers And more. I'm probably so wrong 😂 what's everyone else saying?
  14. Absolutely buzzing for tomorrow now though. Needed after the passing of my dad yesterday. Something to look forward to and a little bit of hope.
  15. I'm not a huge fan of Foals either so from the original talk on this forum for weeks what was looking to be a pretty solid lineup (MCR, Paramore, KSI (Yes, I'm a fan) Green Day etc.) has turned to absolute rubbish for me. I think we're in desperate need of an announcement (or @Dan Wilcox since he's the most reliable) so we can definitely end the misery.
  16. Very well put here. Completely agree.
  17. I'm gonna add to this debate over KSI Headlining. I'm 23 years old. And I'm a huge fan of JJ. Have been for a decade. Would I buy a whole festival ticket to see him? Nope. But, I go every year to Leeds Festival due to my location, so it makes no difference to me whether the line-up is top notch, or whether it's just a mediocre lineup. Obviously prefer it if it's a fantastic lineup though! As for KSI, he will definitely bring in with him, the HUGE platform he has. From a business standpoint, the direction that Festival Republic want to move Reading & Leeds to be the "Teens" type festival, as it seems like they want to do, this would be a fantastic decision. Is he the best rapper of all time? No. By far. But he has improved MASSIVELY since the beginning of his music career, and with hits such as Don't Play, Holiday and Really Love, a lot of his hits are on the radio constantly - And as I previously mentioned, he would bring with him an absolutely massive platform - that be from YouTube, Boxing or his music. I have seen KSI perform 12 different times since 2019. The show I saw him do at the OVO Wembley Arena this past year was one of the best production shows I've ever seen, with so many of his collaborations coming out. And the pyro, the Lamborghini on stage - the whole production was just unbelievable and something quite honestly you wouldn't expect from a "YouTube rapper" (although, he is definitely moving away from the rapping and is a musician now IMO) If he does a show like his Wembley show, there's no doubt he should headline. If he does one of his normal shows (e.g. Academy shows) then he shouldn't. Because he'll be a headliner if the rumours are true, I see him doing his headline show, and he will shock a lot of people as too how good it truly is. If the rumours are true, I for one can't wait to see him headline.
  18. Just catching up with the forum after some time away. The fact KSI is mentioned to headline is a very interesting one. I for one won’t be complaining - I love the guy lol and I’m 23 (so I’m young, but not a teenager as previously mentioned in this topic) and I’ve seen JJ / KSI countless times, watched his content for 12 years, consistently for 8 years, and all sidemen stuff for pretty much 4-5 years and even met him. So I love KSI but he is for an acquired taste. He just keeps exceeding everything though so nothing would surprise me and his crowd in 2021 was something to behold. As for MGK, I’d love to see it. But co-headline, or at least on MSW Headline. I have a feeling he’ll be special guest though instead of headline, as it’s a huge name act, where they can stop the headline backlash and still get him in. Is Billie almost too big now? I don’t know. But she smashed Glasto’s set and after seeing her in June, as well as 2019’s festival she’s always great. I’d love to see it there’s so many being mentioned this year (Muse, Billie, KSI, TØP, Blink, Metallica, MGK, YUNGBLUD, Paramore, Sam Fender, BMTH, Doja.. just to name a few) and I do like the unpredictability of it. I imagine we’ll get an announcement next month.. my prediction as for right now are as follows: MSE headliners: Muse, My Chem (idk, gut instinct) and KSI MSW Headliners: Paramore, Sam Fender, TØP. and I’d be happy with 5/6, not a huge fan of Sam Fender but I’d watch dependant on the other stages at the time. I only know Paramore’s big hits but definitely would watch. I didn’t see them (but heard it, I live nearby) in 2014 (I think?) but obviously time changes things. The others I’d be very happy with. I do feel it’s way too stacked for FR / R&L to pull out of the bag though. No one knows, we’ll just have to keep waiting. I think YUNGBLUD and MGK will be there but not as headliners. It’s times like these where I wish the R1 tent would return though, they’d both pack that tent, what an atmosphere it would be.
  19. Yeah I’m the same. Since Tuesday had a ridiculous cough, temperature raging and the sniffles but I somehow keep testing negative 😅 but I get ill at this time of year always anyway so I’m kinda used to it.
  20. What a weekend, I hope you all enjoyed! as for COVID etc. Thankfully don’t have it, but I’m coughing A LOT today. Think it’s when you’ve consumed too much alcohol though - it’s happened before 😂 day or 2 to recover then ready to go again. Hope you all enjoyed. See you all in the 2022 forum!
