Fun fact: Parkway Drive also confirmed themselves today for the Thursday but they are not in the official announcement. The Friday looks really good but I hope Sum 41 are not the sub. Love them, I know it's farewell tour but it would still be cheap for a festival like RW. On the poster, all headliners are alone. Did they change their design or are we really missing a co-headline everday?! Could we imagine Parkway Drive being on the same line as Lenny Kravitz above a band like Greta Van Fleet on a mainstream festival? I doubt about that. If you look on 2019 poster, 2 days had one main headliner when the 2 other days got 2 headliners on the first line. Same in 2017.

Where did you see that about PD?

It was 8 years ago. Which was also their last show in Belgium. Headliners like Pearl Jam or Metallica don't need a strong sub/co on their days at Werchter. In 2022, the sub for Pearl Jam was Pixies and the sub for Metallica was Greta Van Fleet... while RHCP got a strong co-headline with The Killers. The RHCP are coming back a second year in a row and a lot of medias said negative things about their show from 2022. I can't imagine RW booking them again without a strong day around them. If they really put Editors in The Barn, it means they have a strong name to add between RHCP and TBK on the Main.

Well thats not true. The War on Drugs played between Pixies and PJ.

QOTSA was supposed to be the sub/co-headline of Metallica, then they cancelled so it would be GvF and in the end it was Turnstile.

In 2016 Goose subbed RHCP with Editors closing after them.

Where was this confirmed? Have we got full stage splits for all days now?

" Fred again.. is the sound of today and tomorrow. It will be a big party at The Barn."

And because he's a big name nowadays it seems logical he will close the Barn.

I can see Triggerfinger playing Pukkelpop 2022. Typical band that is booked every 3 or 4 years.

Ruben Block is focusing on his solo career for the moment. Also other members are touring with their other band Sloper.

Was thinking about this before, obviously they now need a replacement for FNM. Do we think if the Springsteen day is truly finished that Jack White could be a replacement for them?

3rd down might be a touch too low for him, I was just trying to think of suitable people to fill the gap

Already has a show announced in July in Brussels. So ruled out.

Sounds like 4 days of TW Classic tacked onto each other.

But I'm pretty positive RW will have a few surprises up their sleeves for the remaining headliners. They always do a good job in balancing out their lineups. 🙂 Pretty sure it'll be either Gorillaz or Kendrick for saturday. Really, really really curious about what they are planning for that sunday, nog that the harder rock day seems to have moved to friday (and thursday).

I think we need to consider Imagine Dragons in co-headline with something like Kings of Leon. Like the thursday of 2017: Imagine Dragons (sub) - Arcade Fire (cohead) - Kings of Leon (cohead).

Now: X (sub) - Imagine Dragons (cohead) - Kings of Leon (cohead), with X a strong sub.

Although it will probably make a lot of people happy, this lineup will have me skipping RW next year. It would be a bit...bland? I respect everyone who thinks otherwise of course.

(Maybe this year's insane Primavera lineup spoiled me a bit I guess.)

It's an easy sell out though. But otherwise, with this main line up, they need to ace the Barn line-up with the likes of Yorke, Massive Attack, The National of sorts.
