Inter still owe united 40m from that deal, also United have a 25% sell on clause. I can't see a deal being done for that one.

I think it is happening, mate. I don't know the ins and outs but sounds like Inter need the cash / Chelsea are prepared to pay big / Lukaku is up for the return. It would have been nice if the return happened before United swept in last minute in 2017 but oh well. When your top goalscorer last season was Jorginho with 7 goals, you simply must sign a number 9... Or, y'know, play Tammy Abraham before selling him and resigning him in five years...

If he stays till next year, which looks likely now, it would feel very similar to the Hazard situation in Lille, where it's all down to where the player wants to go to (and salary of course). I can see him going to Real, especially if City get Kane, but they will desperately need to sort their finances out.

    Hazard ❤️

"I am signing for the Champions League winner"

  3. Also, if Haaland stays at Dortmund for one final season, surely next summer he will be the most in demand player for years. A 68m release clause would surely see bids from City, United, Chelsea, Real, Barca, PSG, maybe Liverpool? The interesting part is the wages would surely be huge. Real couldn't offer Varane a bigger contract, Barca are at their limit, if City do sign Kane would they be in for Haaland? Can Liverpool even afford it?

As a Chelsea fan I'm disappointed with the departures of Guehi, Bate and other young players this summer. I don't blame them one bit but I felt that they could have really strong futures for us.

Let's face it, the only reason Mount, Tammy, Reece, Tomori etc got chances is because of the transfer ban and Lamps / Morris coming back in. The academy players aren't going to come through in that same way again. Maybe one or two cases but yeah. I don't know why we let Guehi and Tomori go but they obviously want to play.

One tip I would give for anyone going back to gigs is to grab a pair of earplugs.  Always a good idea I know, but definitely at the moment. Was a bit blasé about it last night but my ears have only just stopped ringing today. Just not used to the volume!

My ears used to get absolutely fucked by Concorde 2 when I was younger.

Edit: Sweat glands were always VERY active in there too.

Yeah we got tickets to the final at Wembley, pretty reasonable too.

God the more I look at it the happier I am I wasn’t there on Sunday.

Will be a much better atmosphere. Looked horrid didn't it. Shameful display.

Anyone in Liverpool able to give me a good sitrep? Gonna head out soon but wonder if everywhere is full already

Didn't look too busy when I was out an hour ago. Where you planning to head? I'll be watching in the Baltic I think.

  8. Lots of chat on this thread the last month. Understandably more people are interested in tournament football but I hope some of you will join us over here for the new season in August?! Word of warning, depending on how well they are doing, you might have to interact with Liverpool fans.

I fucking hate ITV. Their hub thing kept failing on us mi-match yesterday. So frustrating.

I still can't believe England are in the final! I'm old enough to remember the Southgate penalty in 1996, this feels a long way from those days.

Earlier in the tournament my Freeview was playing up so I was watching on the ITV hub and it was nothing short of embarrassing. Genuinely couldn't watch the game. Glad to have it sorted by last night.
