  1. Great walk, been on the other side of the valley recently but need to get back up there
  2. The Nike Pegasus Trail Gore-Tex are great around camp and for half a day. The dew on grass stays out and they are decent for a stroll. Couldn’t do a full week in them. Mix with Merrell walking shoes and that was me sorted in ‘22. I leave for the festival in 30 days, it’s time to join this thread. ⛅️⛅️⛅️⛅️☀️☀️☀️
  3. Via Jacks Rake? Terrifying ordeal, only did it once. Love Langdale. Langdale to Bowfell in winter is class
  4. Unless the festival ask Oxfam to provide more stewards to cover more positions. I’m almost certain that happened last year. If that happens places could appear. Say there is one more vehicle gate with two stewards on it. To cover the shift pattern you’d actually need 10 more stewards plus a couple more on response maybe??? keep the faith
  5. From memory, everyone who was on this thread this far out last year got a place
  6. I have a good feeling for you all today after the recent lull
  7. Wow! That is the furthest away I’ve heard any of the shifts being
  8. Some shifts need a camping chair
  9. The photos of the two of us from 2022 are my favourites for that festival. I did appreciate your strength being able to literally pick me up 😂
  10. Everyone I’ve met off here has been sound. I get the anxiety though, meeting internet people 👀
  11. Does the meet have a theme? Is it fancy dress?
  12. Yes, but in the same place at the same time. I’m struggling to make one of them, let alone two
  13. Sounds great, I’ll do me best to be there, depending on the timing of my on site briefing, I might be a little late. But I’ll be there
  14. I’m looking forward to your Meetup @Crazyfool01. You’ve always been super welcoming on the forum, the virtual meets and when I’ve met you at the in person meet up. I plan to meet some efesters who volunteer this year on the Monday or Tuesday. Can I get some branding guidelines for this?
  15. Fantastic, if I'm not on shift I will be there. Sadly it was only a flying visit last year as my shift started at 20:45
  16. They are significant enough to be mentioned on Glastonbury Festival’s “work at the festival” page https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/jobs/ but it’s obvious how small scale their operation is from a quick look at their website. I’ve heard it gets better the more time you work with them (from one person I know). I’d rule it out immediately based on not getting immediate entry into the festival. Not for me.
  17. Excited for this. Map chat
  18. Be interesting to see what the Wednesday late night party is like
  19. Anecdotal - It has happened but not as much as weekdays.
  20. I hope so, I’m still trying for a couple of mates but waiting for you lot to get your places first. I admire the dedication but I can’t replicate it
