saw them last year on their arena tour and it was pretty much a greatest hits set. Sounded great too. I think if they are there they're more likely for other opener than legends though.

So festival costs over £50million to put on. 138,800 tickets on general sale at £280 a go nets about £38.5million. Means a minimum of £11.5 million (and probably a lot more) coming from other sources such as food/market pitches, profit on beer sales, merchandise etc. I would have guessed ticket sales made up a higher percentage of income.

also mentioned in another thread if they're doing their orchestral show then pyramid opener would work (Hacienda Classical went down well in 2017)
-
James are doing an orchestral tour next year - could work as the Pyramid opener on the Friday to give them a bit more setup time?

As someone who lives about 12 miles away from Sunderland it’s a pig of a drive but about an hour on a plane from Bristol to Newcastle. Load the equipment up on the trucks and drive overnight and put the band on a morning flight and it’s easily doable .

everybody saw Tham at the bandstand given the time it took us to walk past it due to the crowds!

still a couple of 4 person options on sale at both sites
-
I did that last year and picked one up about 30 mins later no problem

Not headlining but didn't the Killers play Belgium the day before the JP secret set in 2017? Edit: Greece apparently
-
We got in no problem last year. I think that having Stinklinch as well has probably offset the coach ticket priority

Hit refresh repeatedly on my laptop whilst my phone was left to its own devices on the holding page . Looked down to see the phone had gone through to the site! So in this entire scientific experiment with a large sample size of one, refresh is not the way to go.

what was the car park for sticklinch like? both in terms of distance from tent and getting in and out? we've always worthy viewed in the past but worried about that hill if it's a muddy one

This - we were right up at the barrier for McCartney and was amazed at the amount of space around us compared to previously
-
We were right at the front and didn’t feel crushed at any point. Had no idea that was going on behind us! Seemed to be a theme through the weekend that it was rammed at back/middle and maybe people could t get through?

Florence Welch was stood at the side of the stage at Katy J Pearson’s park set just now

My tent is an inferno. I can however confirm the bread and roses is a lovely temp in the shade and has live music about to start

Ours has just arrived at quarter to midnight. Feel sorry for the guy working late 🙂

True differential between a pint and a half in San Remo is taking the piss.

Definitely drizzled a little bit during Slaves Sunday morning too.

2017 was quite close to this - very light rain and all it did was sort the dust out a bit
-
Heading down in a few hours. Have picked trainers, suncream, snorkels and hot water bottles. Thank you all for the highs and lows , literally and figuratively 🙂
-
Anyone got their tent number yet?
-
You’re right - it’s there and the page looks legit. Consider me surprised.

I’d be surprised if the chief sign writer was daft enough to post this on Instagram? Would surely know it was a secret set….
