Is it realistic to think they could book Rhianna and Madonna in the same year? Surely it would be very expensive?

I've always liked them, and they do come in handy at times when meeting friends. However, it's clearly gone past the point of being a fun addition to the festival, and is now at times a serious problem effecting the enjoyment of a sizeable minority. Maybe a solution would be to charge people a very small fee (which would go to charity of course), give them a special wristband or something, and then confiscate the flags from people who don't have one. It's quite 'heavy handed' but I don't see how else the numbers could be restricted.

AC/DC are rumoured for Hellfest, which is obviously the same weekend as Glastonbury next year. So its not unthinkable, but I'd say unlikely.

It was brave of them to book Vic Reeves to headline two nights but he’s really pulled it off to be fair!

And people criticised Axls vocals. Christ he’s all over the shop.

Of those playing Scruff of the Neck stage, I saw Snayx, congratulations and Snake Eyes at the weekend at Great Escape. All very good, I will definitely be there!

Sorry, didn't see this while I was there! Have to say, I much preferred the stuff I saw on the Alt Escape, the Great Escape line-up seemed quite heavily skewed towards pop and electronic genre's. Elsewhere is the country I would get, but Brighton has an amazing young Punk scene, it was a shame that more of it wasn't showcased. The other thing that annoyed me was the huge number of terrible industry people with delegate passes. I haven't seen it that bad before. Some crowds were horrible and they packed venues so much with these people that normal ticket holders couldn't get into lots of the gigs. It needs a re-think. Really enjoyed Snayx, Monakis, Electric Cowboy Club, Snake Eyes, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, congratulations, C.O.F.F.I.N, Arxx, Vlure and Alien Chicks.

Any rumours for tomorrows announcement?

Day tickets look to still be available on the website? 4-day arena (no camping) tickets all gone though. Looks like we're definitely heading for a sell-out!

Only the second of the last 10 editions that I'm missing, and it's shaping up as a 'good' one to miss in terms of my tastes.

I have a mate who lives in Notts City Centre and chooses not to camp, travelling in and out each day by bus. He gets the bus back into Notts each night from the Download transport hub with no problem. Buses to Download Festival 2022 - trent barton
