  1. I saw this earlier, think a little trip up to London Town Saturday before is on the cards. Both Kelsey Waldron and Emily Scott Robinson are very good
  2. Absolutely devastated by Taylor’s passing. I’ve been in shock all morning
  3. Yeah I’m 95% sure it will be the pre-Creation recordings that Cian has been putting together for a compilation. Also a few weeks back Gruff spoke to Chris Hawkins on 6 Music, was asked directly about SFA gigs didn’t sound like any were coming up
  4. Loved his albums with Isobel Campbell, shocked by this news
  5. I think Country2country festival in March is a big acid test. If those big Country acts can come over without issue it’ll lead to other American based artists thinking it’s feasible
  6. I ask every few months for the BBC to pull out Springsteen doing Joe Strummer’s Coma Girl at the start of his set…. They must have it on tape somewhere…. Unfortunately I think it’s gonna end up with Neil’s set in a vault somewhere
  7. Is this the most controversial post on this forum ever. Bully wasn’t shit, one of the greatest game shows of all time

Cardiff postponed… No bother Brixton Academy Wednesday tickets bought 🙌🙌🙌
  11. I remember it well and fondly. Brilliant night in London town
  12. Last Friday he said that he didn’t anticipate changing anything for at least a fortnight when he expected the peak to be over. You could argue we are over the peak. I expect he’ll be sluggish to release restrictions sorry “protections”
  13. Watched his press conference at lunchtime, it took a lot not to throw the remote at the TV
  14. Well we can more or less scrap the Welsh date on the 21st Jan following Drakeford’s latest statement. No changes for the next two weeks at the earliest
  15. From a Welsh perspective I’m furious this evening. No changes to restrictions which have shown to have had no positive effect. A prominent Welsh professor (Cardiff Uni) in diseases calling on Drakeford to fall in line with England today. The clown shot the advice down dead. I’ve come to the conclusion that Drakeford is for more of a danger to health and wellbeing of the people of Wales than Omicron will ever be.
  16. So this is the absurdity of Drakeford’s restrictions. Wales looking to play their Six Nations home fixtures at Spurs stadium https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/rugby-morning-headlines-wales-explore-22646852
  17. Not when New Labour ordered the “Scrutiny” reports in the late 90s
  18. Watching the ITV Drama Anne this evening, so we get to the part where Blair and Straw continued the Establishment cover up of Hillsborough… Not the best look for Starmer when he was bigging up Blair a couple of hours ago
  19. I work in the NHS and have done for 18 years, I don’t feel this winter is any different to other years really. It ain’t fun, but it never is at this time of year. Isolation is a major issue which I don’t have an answer to how we tackle this, other than calling a day to track and trace and start treating Covid like any other virus. Not sure we are at that stage at the moment, but by April if Omicron continues the same way I think (hope) it does we will be at that stage. Life really has to move on and we start getting our head around the backlog and the inevitable crisis within mental health where I work currently work (but am duel trained so still do general nursing shifts). The last 2 years has seriously had a detrimental on the emotional wellbeing of the public. Staff are tired and burnout will be a major issue the longer this goes on, I’m expecting a real tough few years, so have started working on emotional resilience and wellbeing to try and make work bearable for my colleagues. It’s only a small thing, but it’s putting those small things together which help us through
  20. That’s a really worrying outlook, he clearly has issues. His views are bordering on extremism. Somehow soon we’ve got to build bridges between the pro lockdown (scared) and the anti vax covid is a hoax lot. Society really depends on it
  21. Just back from No Way Home, absolutely loved every minute of it
