2014 was near perfect as well, I think?

Ah the year my ticket disintegrated during the biblical downpour on the Friday, cos my expensive waterproof jacket wasn’t very waterproof. Ticket wouldn’t have mattered but as was in campervan needed it daily, ended up being double banded which was actually better than worrying about the ticket all weekend. Also the year I stopped wasting worrying about waterproof jackets and realised that cheap ponchos were as good

  2. 2009 - Bruce Springsteen starting his set with a version of Joe Strummer’s Coma Girl… It just hit me Bruce paying homage to my all time favourite artist with a song about my favourite place.

2010 - Frank Turner Long Live the Queen… I was having a bit of a tough time, and was about to move to New Zealand on my own, which was basically me looking to run from my problems. It was that moment I realised the friends and family I’d be leaving behind. I decided in that moment I’d stay tough it out and everything worked out and haven’t looked back.

2019 - Several times during The Cure… It was just beautiful

That was a close call, then 😜

Just messing. That would've been a good booking for the LF Stage. I'd like to see a Yorkshire Colliery Brass Band play there too.

    Yeah me too mate

but has the LF Stage been confirmed?

I had some email correspondence with Julia (Billy’s partner) at the turn of the year as inquiring about a Welsh Male Voice Choir I’m involved with could play, unfortunately it was not doable due to the allocated performer tickets that would be needed to make it happen would not be available. LF were in the process of sorting the lineup out at that time so it looks like they will be there as always

You've got to cough up the cash to get quality like Greg Wilson.

    ...who's Greg Wilson?

The first British DJ to mix live on TV on The Tube in 1983. A Hacienda regular. One of the best producers in the re-edit genre… And all round good egg. Some of the best nights I’ve had Greg has been DJ’ing

Has it ever actually worked out like that though? The two biggest acts to ever do it as far as I can remember are Radiohead and The Killers and they’ve both come back and headlined 🤷

Then you’ve got acts like Vampire Weekend who were on the lineup already and Foals who were never really a serious headline contender anyway.

Pulp could’ve headlined on their reunion run

  7. The PP Arnold, Diana Ross clash is a right kick in the balls. As I only got a ticket in the resale I’d already bought tickets for Diana Ross at Cardiff, my plan was to sell the tickets on Twickets and see her at Glastonbury now tickets were secured. Think I might keep the Cardiff tickets and go and see PP Arnold

Holy shit that isn't just up my street but is my street.

They really are amazing, I was hoping they might turn up when I saw they were on the Black Deer Lineup. Was the Brucey bonus to come out of the Avalon lineup for me!!

Is anyone going to the 6 music festival in Cardiff this weekend? Pretty great lineup IMO. Listened to The Manics tonight & it sounded really good on the radio. I'd sort of fallen out of love with them in recent years, but they sounded on top form to me!

Unfortunately not have been waiting and hoping that 6 would bring the festival to Wales for years, but it’s one of my mates stag weekend in Liverpool so having to miss it
