  1. I think I heard on the news last night that it’s likely that services through the whole week could be heavily affected and/or disrupted…not just the strike dates
  2. He doesn’t need to do either. Also, the above are not mutually exclusive.
  3. I get that people are distressed over this. Jeez, it’s a huge headache for lots of us to get to grips with. Some might never make it to the farm which is devastating. But I can’t figure out how the biggest national rail strike since the 80s is somehow a problem anyone should reasonably expect an 86 year old farmer to fix on their behalf.
  4. Thanks for that. I’ll have a proper read tonight. Just panic bought a festival car park ticket as a failsafe contingency….but going via Bristol would still be our preference if it’s doable (hotels & festival coach both non refundable now) . Considering I’m coming from the sticks in the East Midlands, there’s zero hope of getting a coach all the way down without needing a train somewhere .
  5. Any Bristolians out there that have good knowledge of long stay parking in the city? Looks like we might need to park up from Tuesday 21st til Tuesday 28th. The NCP option at £180 feels like a bit of a joke....
  6. You’re not alone. I’ve never had it and I’ve no idea how it’ll go down - we might throw caution to the wind the minute we’re through the gates…or it might take some getting used to everything again. I doubt it’ll be on our minds much come the Wednesday, but who knows. Both my wife and I have caught or suffered from stuff at Glastonbury before and it’s truly horrible…but we both can’t think of how it could’ve been avoided either, so little point worrying.
  7. Likewise, kicked in on the Monday night and wiped me out for a week. Never felt anything like it
  8. To be fair, having days where stuff isn’t completely set in stone can work well too. I do like having the freedom to make a snap random decision and not feel the guilt that you’re sacrificing a band or artist else you really wanted to see. As we say, let the cider guide you and things will work themselves out!
  9. It’s a Friday headscrather for us as Billie is really our only chance for a Pyramid headliner (it’s nice to have at least one, right?)….but…Foals is WAY more our taste….but…we’ve seen them before…but, but, but…so who knows where we end up. Saturday is a Roisin shoe-in, bit gutted she’s not closing on Subday tbf. On a side note it genuinely shocked me to find out it’s been eighteen years since Macca last headlined. It feels like yesterday (pun not intentional) and I only saw him then as I thought he’d never be back again..but still he plods on. Good health to the guy. Sunday Bicep is our current bet…but that might change. Might ‘pull a Beyoncé’ and retreat early to the South East Corner.

    Glastocam!

I remember that morning well. Morning call from Punch crowing about his bloody sausages again at GOS, crawled out the tent for air - then this rabble properly woke me up.
  11. It’s the swaggiest camping thing I’ve ever shelled out on, but like others have said on this thread - as you get older, nailing a good/comfy nights sleep becomes more of a priority - and I don’t do the trolley nonsense anymore.
  12. I miss the days when we could sleep effortlessly on a poundstretcher water lilo…then cart it up the pyramid as a makeshift couch.
  13. Tend to agree most airbeds are too much faff for not enough benefit. That said, I’ve been taking an Exped Downmat for the past 5(ish) years. It’s super light, packs up smaller than a sleeping bag and the ‘pump’ is a 60g air bag that inflates your bed from flat to full within about 5 pumps. Sure it loses a tiny bit of air overnight, but it’s really no big deal to top it up. Our biggest issue with it was ‘sleeping bag slip’. But if you stick your mat inside a quilt cover, no more sliding about on your bed.

    Glastocam!

Oo-er. Light winds with sunny intervals and a splattering of demogorgons..?
  15. Yep. Most of the Beeb don’t say much about the lineup at all - 6 Music will probably have a bit on their music news segments today & tomorrow. My headphones are flat so no idea if they’ve spoken about the lineup since 11. It’ll all be about their tv and radio coverage now - so I’m expecting to see a ramping up of their BBC @ Glastonbury ads in the coming days.
  16. Bit gutted about Khruangbin clashing with Jesus & Mary Chain
  17. I think you’re right. We could well be on for a drop today… then the BBC go heavier with their Glastonbury advertising from tomorrow.
  18. Yeah you’re right - sorry - that one is a miscom from my wife…or I misheard. Gemma’s doing a ‘latest on the BBC at Glastonbury’ bit on 6music this Tuesday (covering Lauren’s slot). Might not be lineup related - or just coincidental timing.
  19. I’d be chuffed to bits if it came out today, but with both that insta post..and Emily being on the radio tomorrow - signs pointing toward a Tuesday drop for me. Either way - it’s going to be a good week!
  20. Judging by this post, it looks like maybe a full lineup on Tues.
  21. I wouldn’t fret yet. Keep the faith! It sounds like theres been a few that didn’t get any emails or updates, then the ticket fairy just turns up. RM had its quirks, but they’ll deliver.
  22. Got the email from See on Thursday morning…with a tracking code & link that didn’t work (just got an invalid URL message). Tracking link still didn’t work this morning, but code did (googled Royal Mail tracking and pasted in there)
  23. From ‘Sent to courier’ on Wednesday night to in my hands on Friday morning! I’ll take that. Is it time to get PROPER excited now?
  24. It’s been pretty sporadic this week. Some days it’s only increased by a lousy 1% - but on others we’ve had a more juicy 5%+ increase (that’s, what…10k tickets ish?) I suspect it’ll start jumping up nicely over the coming week.
  25. Just noticed that although the Royal Mail tracking link on my See email still doesn’t work, the tracking number does work if you paste it in at https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item
