  1. The roar at WH when Jeff Goldblum was going through the different tribes saying "Scousers? People from Liverpool? Any Scousers out there?" For some reason that tickled me, As for this year, when Paul McCartney brings Elton John on stage
  2. Nightmares on Wax vs Professor Alice Roberts
  3. Elvana is spectacular Will try and see both their sets
  4. I think we'll go see them despite the clash. We will have had a full dose of nostalgic sing along the previous evening.

  9. I've realised that I've literally got nothing better to do today then wait for that to happen. Somewhat concerning.
  10. Interesting, well they may be mirror images of each other. There is the universal "youth of today" moaning that has always gone on, but I don't detect that to any unusual degree in Australia.
  11. Living in Australia, which is a considerably more ageist culture than UK, I've always found it refreshing to see how the ages mix so easily and without apparent judgement in Britain. I'm aware I could be completely wrong, but, I used to attribute it to the British local pub where families would go to the local and all generations would be together. Simply doesn't happen that way in Oz. I'd hate to think that is disappearing. I don't think asking age range is a problem though, except for one comment in this thread.

I can recommend Licorice Pizza, PT Anderson re creating a 70s vibe. Can't see us going to a movie, though, 2 hours out of a packed schedule not feasible
  15. I'm afraid not. https://open.spotify.com/track/5skAQdEOEjdRVBcNtMtExs?si=YgwmnFP2TFGqP1T-7xZj_A&utm_source=whatsapp
  16. Nice surprise and a great band, saw them with King Gizzard at the Gizzfest, and been listening ever since: Smoke and Mirrors a really good track
  17. Well this is my favourite one, at a great little Aussie festival Golden Plains. I love her languid dis-affectedness. Playing up to a stereotype very recognisable in stuck up wealthy Sydney culture. (As close as we get to a Sloane I guess) I mean she can't really sing, and the song isn't great and yet it's somehow euphoric.
  18. I hope so, that way I'd at least know one person on that poster
  19. This will go off at The Park
  20. The font on those signs seem to be exclusive to Glastonbury.
  21. I always go to the Stone Circle and sit under the big tree and have a smoke to get my bearings
  22. Happy Birthday, 1970 was a good year After the Gold Rush Fun House Let it Be Black Sabbath, Black Sabbath Morrison Hotel (not quite as good as 1969 , but close)
  23. I'll be 53 by the time of this year's festival, and find this post to be inspirational. I'm going to go to as many as I can.
