  1. Has anyone seen the arancini stall? It’s not where it was last year..
  2. All 6 of us got searched fairly thoroughly at gate A on first entry yesterday, the first time I’ve ever been searched and they were searching everyone to some extent when we came in.. all bags unzipped, felt around and things like toiletry bags fully opened and looked into. Really quite surprised! It’s quite a change to previous years where just odd people were pulled aside to be searched.
  3. Take ID and he should be fine.

    Disaster

Oh no! That’s so rubbish, you must be gutted 😞 On the plus side you’re in hospital and being treated.. get well soon!
  5. Packed, been to my allotment to sort that for the week, ordered a taxi for 6am to take me to the coach station.
  6. I’m not a huge Elton fan and could easily go see something else, but the talk of potential guests and the FOMO of some proper Glastonbury moments is swaying me into seeing him. But if it’s not grabbing me after a few songs I will decamp elsewhere.
  7. Thank you! Love this thread so much. Have an amazing festival ❤️
  8. I SO confused! I don’t know what to believe anymore! Really hope the sun are right though!

    Volunteering 2023

That’s weird, I’ve tried to look back through my emails when I volunteered for any clues but I’m almost certain the place to head for was windinglake farm, then a very short walk to the oxfam field. I got a cab with two water aid volunteers who were going a similar way. Someone on the oxfam festivals Facebook page should be able to confirm. The taxi drivers are just doing loops between the station and the festival atm and will have taken other volunteers in so they should also know where to go. Good luck!

    Volunteering 2023

The cab driver I got had done Glastonbury week many times and knew exactly where to go, I think for water aid and oxfam it was winding lake farm? It should say in the welcome email… It wasn’t a long walk from drop off to the oxfam office.

    Volunteering 2023

There’s usually lots of volunteers arriving into castle cary atm and it’s easy to share a cab..

    Pulp! Get pulp in!
  13. Isn’t there still a bit of general camping along the top of wicket? What’s the disabled access change?

    Pilton Park

Stickleball hill! So that’s where the far flung gate gets it’s name.
  15. Washed my light down jacket for the evenings, waterproofed my waterproof and starting adding a few things to the packing pile.
  16. Totally, I didn’t get tickets for the tour because I was convinced that they’d play… I’m still not buying tickets until I’ve been to Glastonbury just incase they show up somewhere .. it’s hard to give up hope!
  17. Officially out of office! Time to get properly excited 😜

I’m still torn between AM and Hot Chip… never seen hot chip before, seen AM loads but the reviews of the current tour make me think I need to be at AM.
  19. Me too.. I had a tweaky knee so didn’t run for a few days. Today I did a short 4k ish and it was fine but I’m definitely tapering down between now and Wednesday.. just incase!
  20. A friend of mine with connections to the band says they aren’t going to be there.. I’d very much like that to be bad info but I’m thinking it’s probably right 😢
  21. This time next week I’ll be on the coach from Sheffield heading to the farm.
  22. That’s a great shift, it was my first ever shift for oxfam at Glastonbury in 2019 and I got to see Emily and Michael opening the gates and lots of happy people flooding through. Loved it!
  23. 8 about to burst into a full on 9… checked my packing list today for the first time and started to think about adding to the small packing pile I’ve got. I’m just distracting myself with my weather thread obsession which is much stronger than previous years because it seems like lots of fun this year for some reason 😂
  24. I stuffed mine in my small shoulder bag last year but I’m considering taking a collapsable one instead this year as the metal one weighs a tonne and I like to travel light.
  25. I got some of these from decathlon just before a week volunteering at worthy pastures and they didn’t even need breaking in, super comfy. They were a bargain too. https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/women-s-waterproof-mountain-walking-boots-mh100-mid-turquoise/_/R-p-133726
