  1. Black Widow on Disney+ from today for anyone that missed it at the cinema.

    Adele

I already feel the stress of my mum saying "Would you mind seeing if you can get me Adele tickets?"
  3. I think this is one of these instances where Sony were happy to let it leak in order to create buzz. Probably why there was such a staggered release for it. Never really a great sign when the end-credit scene gets more people talking than the actual movie.

I hope to hear some more uptempo tracks, along the lines of Send My Love, Water Under the Bridge etc, at the same time though, I am very ready for a proper Adele ballad to grace the airwaves once again.
  5. Just ordered myself Dave Grohl's new book, I really enjoy autobiographies of people in the music biz. I tend to buy these ones as actual physical books then any fiction books I read I just get on the kindle.

She actually kinda confirmed in an Instagram post back in 2019 that the album would be called 30. "Bunch of fucking savages, 30 will be a drum n bass record to spite you" - May 5th 2019
  7. Hayley Williams - Though I feel the time for any solo gigs of hers has been and gone as she's been quite clear about heading back into Paramore now. I feel that Paramore would have made an appearance by now if it was something they wanted to do. Griff - I'm really enjoying the last few tracks that she has released. Rina Sawayama - Her album is amazing and would love to see it performed live. Little Mix - Banger after banger. Hands Like Houses - Amazing live. Can picture them maybe on the Left Field stage.
  8. 2015 was my first. First time trying for tickets and managed. Been to each one since, though my luck with tickets ran out and I did not manage to get any for 2020(2022)...so far.
  9. My friend and I were passing a guy peeing on the land at Glastonbury one time and she just flippantly shouted in his direction "Leave no trace!", this led to other people turning round and shouting at the guy. Not a lot he could do mid-flow but I'm sure it made him think twice about doing it again. There is just no need, you're never too far away from a urinal on site and there are rarely large queues for them. It's just lazy and rude.
  10. Could very well be it. Still not back to 100% yet 😞
  11. Had my first gig back on 9th Sep to see Biffy at Glasgow Green. I have been so ill ever since. Just remember, you may not get Covid, but there are lots of other bugs out there which your body hasn't been used to for a long time! Had some viral thing with my sinuses. My full face was throbbing. Feeling better than I was now but still not back to 100% 😞
  12. My first gig back was last night, Biffy Clyro in Glasgow ☺️ It was an absolute joy to be back watching live music! There were times when I forgot we were in a pandemic but times when it was very apparent (when I’d get an sudden wave of anxiety about being near people). 10/10 would recommend.
  13. Another thumbs up for Shang-Chi here. The action sequences were amazing, Shang-Chi himself was a really charming character and I really enjoyed this introduction for him. I was worried Awkwafina was just going to be the comedy relief but she had some pretty heartfelt moments of her own nice to see some proper character development for her. We see a familiar face show up, I didn't realise they were in it and it was a pleasant surprise to have not had something spoiled so I won't say anymore than that they delivered some of the funniest lines the MCU has had in some time. Two end credit scenes, both of which I'd say are worth sticking round for as they actually add some development unlike some others.
  14. Little Mix throwing out another banger, considering 2/3rds of them have been pregnant, they have not stopped this year!
  15. Did he not direct some Jungle Book movie? I feel like it came out around the same time as the Disney remake so was a bit overshadowed. Edit: was apparently called Mowgli.
  16. New Chvrches album is bangin! Defo feels like they are back on form after Love is Dead, which I did like but never lived up to the first two for me.
  17. Got tickets for Chvrches "intimate" pre tour show at Glasgow, just went on sale today. Bit of an odd one though, if you wanted just a ticket to the show you could only buy 1 per address, however if you got an album bundle you could buy several. So, me and my mates will all now have a CD of their new album which we're unlikely to ever use!
  18. Yeah there's something not quite right about Strange just deciding to mess about with the timeline for Peter. I think there's more to it...
  19. My partner started at season 1 but I joined in at season 2 (as originally thought I wouldn’t like it)which was a pretty good season. You can jump in at any season though. After season 2 they took a few years out and kinda relaunched it with season 3 with some new hosts etc so it maybe would be worth jumping on there. However, I really enjoyed season 2. Basically you can start anywhere but it’s good so I’d start at the beginning if you can be bothered 😆

Listening to Green Light now, man this track just hits different. Take me back to that Friday night in 2017 being part of the crowd while this went off at the end of Lorde's set.

Just finished listening through. First thoughts are it's not as bad/dull as I was expecting based on what I've read. Out of 12 tracks I would say I would listen again to around 7 of them, this included Stoned at the nail Salon which I previously wasn't into. Mood Ring is the track of the album for me but others I enjoyed were Fallen Fruit, Secrets from a Girl and of course Solar Power. Can't see me having it on repeat like Melodrama but I'll defo pop it on a few more times.

Just stuck it on...I fear she may alienate some listeners referring to the strife of a teen millionaire within the first minute. Edit: Besides that, The Path is a pretty decent opener.
  23. We have been binging The Block on Prime. Australian reality show where couples compete to do up an apartment block and sell off at auction to see who makes the most money. The seasons can be long at about 60-70 episodes as I think it's shown 5 nights a week in Australia. It hooks you in pretty quick!

Melodrama was my album of 2017, so it's a bit sad to read what other people are saying about Solar Power. Just giving my earphones a charge then I shall give it a listen. If there's a couple more tracks like Solar Power and Mood Ring then I'll be happy but if it's more Stoned at the Nail Salon then don't know if it will be for me.
