  1. I know this is not what you've asked for, but I feel like trying to arrange a taxi could be a nightmare for you and could end up not going to plan. An alternative option could be getting the Bristol shuttle bus from site (they run pretty regular) which will take you to Bristol Temple Meads station. From there you can either try and arrange a taxi to London or get a direct train to London.
  2. I remember on the Wednesday evening, waiting for the fireworks. It dropped to 19 degrees and that felt freezing cause it had been so warm in the day. We had to go back to our tents to get jumpers 😂
  3. It reached 30 or 31 degrees I’m sure on the Saturday.
  4. From my experience it was always just down to the bar/staff member. Some were fine to fill up the steel pint straight from the tap. Some said that they were unable to for hygiene reasons and would have to pour into a paper cup before pouring into the steel cup.
  5. I hate my username (came about cause I needed to pick one and looking about my room there was a tartan blanket) but alas, it is who I am now on here...it is my cross to bear.
  6. Last time we took a variety pack of cereals for breakfast. Got some milk from the milk truck, poured direct into the little bag of cereal and ate straight from it. Not having to waste any paper bowls or clean any plastic ones.
  7. Chvrches gig last night in Glasgow. I’ve seen them a few times live now but last night was their best yet. The evolution of their live show from when they first started to now is just incredible.
  8. We have decided we will not be trying for tickets... 😞 In the midst of buying a house, we have two dogs now, we have a wedding on the Wednesday after that we have to travel to on the Tuesday which is a but much right after Glastonbury. I feel ok about the decision just now, but I know the wave of sadness will come to me as it approaches that week and I see everyone enjoying the blaring sunshine on the farm!
  9. I've always taken cash before, as I give myself £300 to spend while there and having it as cash helps me keep on top of it. Plus the card machines do rely on there being a decent signal for them to work which isn't always the case.
  10. Love the Tiny Desk series. I'm always putting on the Hayley Williams one for some background music.
  11. At first glance I was like, dunno if that's a great one for my own tastes... But when I started actually counting the acts I'd like to see, there's a fair few!
  12. Anytime I hear George Ezra's new song Anyone For You, I can't help but imagine being at Glastonbury on a warm sunny day with a cold cider in hand.

    Beer Prices

I find Strongbow Dark Fruits (or the Lidl equivalent) holds up pretty well to being drank unchilled.
  14. Just finished the new season of Euphoria. Just as good as the first! Recommend to anyone that’s not checked it out. Zendaya is phenomenal in it.
  15. Sorry to hear that, bud. I hope you have an amazing time in your partner’s honour.
  16. Actually can't decide if this year is the best time for us to be going so will try for tickets in the resale and if we get them then awesome, if not then will take that as sign that this year is not meant to be. In the time since the last Glastonbury we have acquired a house, partner has taken on the family business and now have two dogs.
  17. I'd take dust over a lacking of places to sit any time.
  18. As above, the driver will prioritise people's actual baggage and tents etc. If you have a backpack full of beer they'll never know. However, if you have a trolly full of exposed beer, they will likely leave that til the end to load if there's enough room. 3 packs like you show is not excessive so I shouldn't worry about it. You get some folk that attempt to take about ten 24 packs with them on the coach!
  19. It's mainly because of the red weather warning, which are pretty rare to be issued. Plus, what might be an amber or yellow warning in some parts of the country, become a red one in places like London due to the increased risks, often to do with architecture i.e tall buildings with large panel work. For example, what would be a mild weather warning up in the highlands, can be classed as a red warning in a populated city. It's this red warning that the media have picked up on, nothing to do with SE favouritism.
  20. From what I've read on here I'm going to go on the assumption some people must also refrain from using any bog roll too, for fear of leaving any atom behind.
  21. Not saying there does, just that it's an odd combo is all.
  22. Haim into Noel would be very odd. Can't imagine they have much of an overlap of fans.
  23. I got the National Express bus from Glasgow in 2019, I think they only run one on the Tues night and one on the Weds night (I think). However, it was really quiet. Maybe about 10-12 of u got on at Glasgow. It stopped at a couple of places on route and picked up some folk. Basically, if it's anything like last time, yo should be fine. The driver was pretty decent too, said that he didn't mind us having a drink as long as we stayed in our seats and behaved. No one took him up on that though and I think everyone just tried to get a sleep in! Also, no allocated seat. Just pick one that takes your fancy.
