Is it ok to say that the line up is a massive disappointment BUT you will have an amazing time anyway?

A few more bands added I want to see like Dylan John Thomas, The Clause, The Kairos, Girlband, Stanleys and The Publics. Still a tiny bit underwhelmed with the headliners/subs but I will have an amazing time nonetheless.

Suspect that it is a) Because they want to shift tickets so getting the 'big' names out early gets them moving and b) they need to nail down the bigger names early as they are the ones far more likely to be on long tours/tied to a certain set of festivals.

I would look past the headliners and look at the ‘smaller’ acts. YNot is such a great festival to get around and see loads of new bands/artists.

Have to agree with the final paragraph. Rightly or wrongly, YNot and many other festivals play it 'safe' with their acts i.e. which ones are going to shift as close to 100% of the tickets as possible. It just isn't in the same space as a Glasto, which knows it will sell out irrespective. Should there be more female acts and more female acts higher up the bill? Absolutely! Should YNot try and go 50/50? I mean it can but I fear it will lose ticket sales because of it. That is just the world we live in. Hopefully the female acts that are there this year go on to get more exposure and can come back and get a crack at headlining in the future.

Last year I saw KT Tunstall, SEB, Divorce, Sprints, Panic Shack and Kate Nash. All women artists/bands/female leads, all great acts. This year will be similar. Given the type of festival YNot is, I am not sure who else they could book. Maybe Wet Leg, Last Dinner Party but are these artists available and/or want to do YNot? Feel free to suggest other acts you feel could/should be there?

Noel, Declan McKenna, Jamie T, Snow Patrol, Katy B, Holly Humberstone, The Vaccines, Kaiser Chiefs, Pale Waves. All a little 'safe' so far! I would have liked an act like Prodigy/Chemical Brothers/Underworld announced to mix things up a bit. Still looking forward to Wednesday's announcement to see the other 40+ acts in the 1st wave. Still can't wait for the actual festival to see loads of new stuff!

Fine, no dramas. I will have an amazing time regardless who is headlining. All I will say is wait till Wednesday, when they announce 50 acts not just 6 or 7. I brought my 3 day ticket for £99 (or £109 can't remember) in Aug so I know I will get VFM with just Noel, Jamie T and the Vaccines.....that's before the other 100+ acts are named.

Maybe wait till Wednesday before deciding on what should 'sell' the festival. These are just a handful of names being leaked to gather social media interest ahead of the announcement on Wed. As a general view, I go to YNot for many reasons, the Headliners' being one. The new acts, the atmosphere, places like Club Malibu, The VIP tent, being with a massive group of mates etc. To judge this year on 5/6 names is just silly IMO!

Can see Noel and Snow Patrol headlining, with the other being on the undercard. Rumours are Gerry C is headlining the Sat. Personally for me 2022 was a better set of headliners but the subs and other acts was better last year. I am not 'blown away' with these, mainly as I have seen them before/not my bag. That said, writing off a festival after 6 names is just plain daft (not saying you were...but some have!) .

They have leaked a grand total of Five acts and you are judging the whole festival on those Five names?

Go for it......I mean it's only 5/6 names that have been leaked. You do know they are not going to leak ALL the big acts on the Monday AM!!!! You will also miss the other 100+ artists that you might like or don't know you like

Shame about Prodigy. Would have been great to see them or Chems or Underworld headline the Friday night.
