Third time staying - 2016 & 2019 previously - and I remember the coffee queues always being crazy. Definitely need another couple of breakfast type stalls. Despite the toilet queues being long in the morning, they always seemed to move quickly. I’d say they’d be reluctant to put more in as they’re unused the rest of the day. More taps definitely needed, and preferably on hard standing. I think there were less this year? I bought a £35 air bed which I had to leave behind because I was flying back, so felt bad about it. Didn’t WV used to run the camping stall where they would hire out the beds, etc. for the weekend (for c.£15) then reuse them? The hill felt dangerous at times - those rocks should be brushed aside beforehand. And there’s no view anymore! Did they need to move the whole boundary over? (Obviously there is when you stop on the hill up, but the F&B area used to be a lovely place to sit and look out)

Sound bleed between The Park stage and Stonebridge. Lack of shade. Crowd flows/pinch points seemed worse - maybe due to more people? £3 for a can of coke at Strummerville, surrounded by Joe Strummer quotes about greed.

Maybe not a major change but the Stonebridge bar should be moved further away from The Park Stage. Both killing each others vibe so much. Max Richter playing with banging beats in the background this morning did not work, and I couldn’t hear the end of Yoda’s set once Unknown Mortal Orchestra started

I loved it and so did the majority of people around me. Also surrounded by loads of kids on coke and doing balloons wandering aimlessly through the crowd looking for their mates. Seemed like for Arctics and Foos, loads of people felt like they had to be there rather than wanted to be. The girl behind me moaned the whole time about how much she hates them, and made fun of me for cheering 🤷‍♀️ Heard all the songs I wanted to hear and didn’t expect much crowd interaction as he never does.

Got my hair done and tried out my new raincoat on the way home - 22 degrees, 50% humidity and rainy is not good, ick. Wearing my walking boots about the house in case it doesn’t end up being trainer weather.

Yes and yes! Jumpsuits feel wrong when you’re having to strip down in the portaloos 🤣 and you’ll be doing thousands of steps including hills so might regret sandals. If it stays dry, trainers all the way for me this time. Feet were way too hot last time in walking boots but will bring them or wellies if it looks like there’ll be mud. I always do dresses because I can add tights if it’s cold or wet, then a jacket/sweatshirt to layer up for the evening and a raincoat.

Sorry another Q… are you on a ‘Three Your Way’ plan - Standard/Plus/Premium? They’re the only ones it’s saying you can get an E-sim on but I’m on an older plan which they say can’t. Checking before I go through the pain that is customer support…

Speaking of appropriate footwear… Glasto in 2011, I only brought wellies because of the mud I didn’t think I’d need anything else. Cue 32 degrees or so baking heat on Sunday, wellies were practically melting on my legs watching Paul Simon. Had to take them off every time I stopped to watch an act.

Great, thanks! I think we rented an airbed for the weekend before and just had to leave it in our tent at the end. Can’t see any info about that. WV used to be active on Twitter but don’t seem to be anymore

Anyone know if the tent for buying/renting things like air beds is still in Worthy View?

How did you do it with Three - are you on a certain type of contract? I saw they only do it for certain customers, and don’t think I’m one of them 😒

May as well join in as I’ve been reading so long 😊 Did some exercise, aired out my sleeping bag, sorted some outfits and backed up my phone ready to try out my new Vodafone SIM card. Feeling quite smug… would normally be leaving everything for next weekend. Not long now! 👏🏼

We walked the first year we did it and it was tough going but not awful, depending on what you’re carrying. The next year it was so hot we decided to wait for the shuttle. Took a while to come but we had a few cans and chilled in the sun which was nice.

Same! Hopefully the Bluetooth’s grand 😄 When I’m in crowds I get constant alerts that the sensor’s not getting signal, but it works when I tap. Just means it’s not great if you use the alarms but I don’t.

Loads of reasons including calling your wife and child. I’m diabetic and want to know I can contact my group in an emergency if I get separated from them. My husband’s elderly parents are quite ill and he’ll want to check in on them. This forum could be a nice place if people weren’t so judgey 😊

Does it matter which sim is the esim? I’m with 3 who don’t do esims yet so would need to get the Vodafone esim - assume that’s ok? Only asking as everyone seems to be doing it the other way round (maybe because Lebara don’t have esims)

I wondered if they might have to hold off announcing her until the Manchester dates were on sale as they’ve three nights to sell… but it is feeling unlikely
