  1. The annoying thing is that it works so well to have two stages at either end of the main arena as that forces fans to pick one of the big main headliners and accept they won't have a good spot for the other. This new way just forces crushes each direction.
  2. Also half the stalls had issues with card machines - and all of the ATMS I found were "out of service"
  3. I was complaining to my mates about how this fest - which I’ve loved every year and regarded as comfortable and breezy - has suddenly become a Fyre Festival but they were having a great time still. I only saw Kacey / Charli / Rina due to crowds. Tous Stage took an age to get to more pics on Instagram
  4. So is getting into the main festival for the first time quick and easy now or still long queues ?
  5. This was always gonna happen and annoying they tell us now.
  6. Bikini Kill @theebikinikill · 45s Due to a member of the band testing positive for covid, we will be canceling our show tonight in St. Augustine. We are extremely sorry that we will be unable to play. Please contact the venue for any questions regarding refunds.
  7. I have a spare VIP ticket for weekend 1 to get rid of but doesn’t seem an avenue as twickets has hundreds and dice won’t let me put on waiting list. I don’t know what else to do.
  8. Are The Smile anywhere on the lineup or are we thinking TBC
  9. Yes - usually they give me photo passes for their shows
  10. Nope - Tempelhof Sounds Germany on 12th
  11. The Strokes have four European festivals the week after and only Primavera this week. Annoyingly I am attending them all based on Strokes attendance
  12. I expect Prima to tell us at the very last minute about The Strokes to stop the inevitable flood of refund requests on Instagram etc
  13. Hundreds and hundreds of cheap Weekend 1 tickets on Twickets. Dirt cheap.
  14. Also The Strokes usually do a 75 mins set at every festival. So whatever time they are scheduled for - they’ll be fifteen mins late.
  15. If they’ve moved the VIP area I imagine that usual VIP ticket purchasers will never buy it again. Typical gaslighting as usual from Prima.
  16. Got all my pals in within four minutes. I had much more confidence that Seetickets wouldn’t fall over this year in all the transaction stages. Now we just need to pray for sunshine.
  17. Seeing a lot less noise on twitter this year. And many success stories. I wonder if there were more returns than usual due to the dumpster fire of last two years.
  18. Southampton thurs coach being released back in 40 seconds as my pal doesn't want to go from there - *madness*
  19. Got in after 4 mins on my phone 4G connection - was too easy and I ballsed up the process a few times - my mates will be pleased - I already had a ticket
  20. Bristol will host a brand new music event series, Siren on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th July 2022 with Groove Armada’s Live 25th Anniversary Show announced to headline Friday night. Friday 29th July will see Groove Armada perform as part of its last full live UK tour, against the enigmatic backdrop of Bristol’s harbour with boats and cranes providing the perfect setting for their legendary colourful sets. This summer will be 25 years since Groove Armada debuted, going on to become one of the most successful dance acts of the time. Over two decades of prolific productions and tireless touring they’ve proved that it’s possible to daringly explore a multitude of sounds while achieving critical and commercial success. Bristol crowds can expect the full experience, from dancehall dub of ‘Superstylin’’ to the crossover pop appeal of ‘Song 4 Mutya (Out of Control)’ and from the dancefloor-igniting ‘I See You Baby’ to the woozy sunset vibes of ‘At The River’. Each one of those cuts stands alone as a certified classic, revered in the dance music hall of fame for their timeless appeal. And that’s all before you consider their exhilarating, life-affirming live show. Way back in an era when dance acts typically blended synths and DJing with striking visuals, Groove Armada focused on ensuring every element of the sound was as live as possible. They will be bringing their inimitable performance to the open air in Bristol for the ultimate summer party. Tom Hoyle, Co-Founder of Siren explains: “It’s great to be back at the harbourside this year, launching Siren as a new series of events for Bristol. We will be collaborating with some of the city’s best music brands and acts to produce a whole weekend of music. Groove Armada is the perfect choice to kick off the weekend. Their live show is an absolute must see, bringing their back catalogue to life on stage with musicians, dancing and a few surprises.” Headliners, Groove Armada, said of the event: “Excited to be coming back to Bristol this summer for what will be our biggest show in the city - it’s a lovely way to be finishing another chapter with the live band and We’re very excited to play an outdoor show in such a beautiful location.” Tickets will go on sale on Friday 18th March at 10am to sign ups. And on public sale at 12pm. Sign up is at Skiddle.com and on this link: https://bit.ly/GrooveArmada25-Bristol Further headliners to be announced.
  21. Paul Weller added as final headliner British music icon Paul Weller will headline the final night of Lytham Festival 2022. As frontman of The Jam, the man behind The Style Council and a hugely successful solo artist, Weller is without doubt one of the UK’s most prolific and well-respected music artists. And he is now heading to Lytham Festival on Sunday July 10 where he will be joined by indie legends The Charlatans, indie pop band Lottery Winners and rising Welsh soul singer Nia Wyn. Tickets go on sale at 9am Friday March 18 from www.lythamfestival.com The announcement marks the final headliner for what will be Lytham Festival’s biggest ever event taking place over 10 nights between Tuesday June 28 and Sunday July 10 with Motown legend Diana Ross, US rock giants The Strokes, Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi, indie rockers Snow Patrol, kings of disco Nile Rodgers & CHIC, British music icons Duran Duran, Elbow and Simply Red and global favourites Tears For Fears. Festival director Peter Taylor said: “Paul Weller is a brilliant final headline announcement for Lytham Festival 2022. He is undoubtably one of the kings of the British music scene having written some of the most cherished songs of the last 50 years while influencing generations of musicians. “We are delighted to have such an iconic British musician headlining what will be the final night of our biggest ever Lytham Festival and we now look forward to kicking everything off on Tuesday June 28. “This Lytham Festival has been a long time coming. We have not been on our beloved Lytham Green for three years so it’s now time to make this a festival to remember as we all come together to enjoy 10 nights packed with amazing live music.” Few artists have had as great an influence on the British music scene as Paul Weller. As frontman of The Jam, he spearheaded the Mod revival in the late '70s and early '80s, scoring a string of hits before forming The Style Council and then embarking on a stellar solo career. The last two years have seen an incredible creative output from Weller, releasing no fewer than three new studio albums – all to widespread acclaim. Weller’s live shows are the stuff of legend, mixing his unstoppable brand of high adrenaline rock with beautiful acoustic moments and Lytham Festival will be treated to an incredible evening from an artist who possesses one of music’s most brilliant and diverse catalogues that remains ever relevant. Supporting Weller at Lytham will be The Charlatans, Lottery Winners and Nia Wyn. A career spanning more than 30 years has seen rock band and indie legends The Charlatans enjoy 13 successful studio albums with three hitting the UK Number One spot. Lottery Winners are no strangers to Lytham Festival having first performed on Stage Too back in 2016 but 2022 marks a first outing on the main Lytham Green stage for the indie pop outfit from Greater Manchester. And Nia Wyn is a rising Welsh star who will bring a soulful set to open the night. For more information and to secure tickets go to www.lythamfestival.com
  22. FLASH is a grassroots festival in the heart of Tuscany, which run over a weekend in May (19-21) and offers a brilliant electronic line up alongside a programme of authentic Tuscan activities such as pasta making, wine tasting and wellbeing activities. The Italian boutique festival boasts some of the most exciting DJs of the decade: Bradley Zero, DJ BORING, Eclair Fifi, India Jordan, Jaguar, Laurence Guy and more. The festival is run by native Tuscan Benedetta Venturini and her Australian partner Karl Schussig. Both have strong backgrounds in events promotion / marketing and Bene saw a major gap in the market, there were no boutique festivals in Tuscany with this multi-pronged approach. So in 2017 they set up their own festival in Bene's hometown in Tuscany - to bring festival goers the combined experience of an Italian getaway and a music festival. The festival grew year on year until 2019. This year’s festival will be the first since then and so a packed programme is being announced for the returning year. Bene is completely hands on, booking artists, curating the programme and guiding the local suppliers and builders to turn the site into a running music festival.
