  1. It’s a very diverse, eclectic lineup. My initial thoughts were there was nothing if magic or sparkle to it - primarily because they’ve mentioned the stage splits already where usually you are just given the mesh of names in first poster drop.

I can’t criticise the lineup in any way - but again see it as a microcosm of the current state of festivals.

  2. I don’t think SZA is a grand enough name for headliner - but then this was the crowd for The Cure about half an hour before they came on in 2019

  3. Industry friend of mine says Kylie definitely playing Glasto. Whether that’s some secret slot or guesting with Chris Martin… or headlining !! She’s definitely bigger worldwide (and especially in US after winning a Grammy and selling out Vegas) since she played the legends slot in 2019.

  4. Michael always wanted Fleetwood Mac to headline so Stevie could still be a main headliner. Also, are we entirely sure Madonna is ruled out completely? I know she said her tour ends in April but …

  5. I still half-suspect that Kings Of Leon will be drafted in to do Friday like a Killers style replacement deal …but that Austria date they have in between the UK tour might scupper it

  6. I think Coldplay was a guess (easy enough guess) by one of the newspapers - when I think it's going to be Foo Fighters - they are playing Rock Werchter and Open'er and Villa Park and Cardiff all around Glasto....

If they don't headline - Dave will definitely pop in either way.. explains why they also played as "The Churnups" this year and only did an hour...

  7. I stood at the front for both the 2023 shows and 2019 Strokes shows. I noticed after last night that when I got home my ears weren’t ringing like they usually do at concerts. Both Girl In Red and The Strokes sounded quite quiet even from the front.

in 2019 I could understand what Julian was saying between songs but last night all just sounded muffled.

Personally, I think APE is getting tireder and skankier every year.

  8. So I don’t know where the rumour came from - but apparently one of the headliners last played the festival in the 90s.

watching RHCP at Spurs the other night gave me the same feeling as watching GNR at Glasto and I wondered why RHCP had never headlined. GNR also played Spurs the year before Glasto. RHCP apparently played Glastonbury in 1993.

I’m pretty certain next year the Saturday headliner will be Red Hot Chili Peppers - and they’ll announce a Hyde Park gig too same week of Glasto.

  9. I was about two rows from front and loved it and got some killer pics

Although they were insane to not start with Welcome To The Jungle  - you need a fighting sprint start as a Glasto headliner

Heard a “could be” rumour that Foos are doing Saturday…….mildly credible source and off the back of their new year announcement.

Just realised my intel was a day out but actually correct
