They're not transferable, but there will be some in the resale, which I think is April - ish

Unfortunately if we can’t source a camper van ticket we will have to hand our tickets back in ahead of the resale 😞

Don’t think I’ve ever had them cross check names on camper van ticket and actually ticket, so happy to take the chance if it means we can go

How much does Glastonbury charge stall holders ?   Guessing that has a direct impact on how much the stall holders need to charge...

I once paid £1 for a single piece of toast at Glastonbury 🙂   and that was at least 13 years ago 😛   What a rip off but was so required at the time 😄

My pal paid £6-7k for their stall.
But will vary in size of pitch, location, type of vendor etc..

This sort of pitch fee was very decent for the location and the amount of serving hours you got compared to other festivals, but the issue with all festival catering is that there are so many uncontrollable variables / risk from one event to another, one year to the next.

my pal has now really scaled back the number of events they attend because often it’s little reward for the hours of graft put in.

It was 2008 and they got banned by market management cos everyone including underage peeps were getting really seriously trashed that year and complaints were made.... The bar was shut, then was opened up again a while later with new instructions not to serve in the blue 2l bottles any more...

There was even a haras fence and queue to the bar one year such was Brother popularity, anyone remember that?

I think all the 'official' wood piles have gone, though I have sometimes spotted the odd small one that probably pre-dated the site build but has been left behind. Almost no-one has fires back at camp now though (and with everyone out all night that might be a good thing with all those unattended fires left behind), but I remember them being everywhere - in the Pyramid, Other fields, outside Cider Bus (peeps used to unwisely burn their cups on them), pretty much anywhere in King's and dotted around most places S of railway line.

I was one of said underage people in 2005 who can attest to getting totally ball bagged on the 2l bottle..! I think I woke up one morning outside my tent still holding the bottle..!

  4. We are fairly local and last time out we had our eldest who was only 4 months (now 3 years 4 months..), and we stayed in our caravan which was pretty easy going. We had him with us Tuesday - Friday morning before dropping him off with family at home. Our group of family & friends loved having him at the festival and pitched in helping find shade / holding him whilst ordering food / beer / toilet runs were done.

This year is going to be a whole new experience. Our family has grown and we now have 3 boys, 3 YO, 2YO & 5 month old. We can’t farm them out to family for the duration of the festival, so we’ve taken the decision to have them all in with us. Will be a totally different experience and a military operation. 2 x double pushchairs loaded with their bits, lots of trips to Greenpeace / Kids Field and the Theatre & Circus and hopefully everyone should be happy. I doubt we will be hugely mobile, but having the double push chairs and being able to split up should allow for us to try and catch some ‘must sees’ and hopefully for them to crash out in the evening 🤞🤞🤞

Rates in Liverpool are falling but the small increase in the older age groups hits far worse than the original massive increase in the younger ages.

The main hospital is at breaking point and with the increase in the wrong demographic things look bleak.

Bleak indeed. My dad's side of the family is up there. He is 67 and has COPD, luckily he has shielded since March but has unfortunately lost 6 friends to Covid in the last 4-5 weeks.

I think that’s par for the course now. First single comes out alone and then second single comes with an album announcement.

Cars in Space might be their finest song for me. Or it is wrestling Fountain of Good Fortune for top spot at least. P good going to start an album campaign with yr best ever song.

    Cars is space is massive.

Up there with one of my favourite songs of the year!

Just in case anyone takes this literally, please be aware you can have too much water!  Don't give yourself water intoxication as that is also v. bad!

PGC queue took about 2 minutes at 12.30. Which gate did you have to queue at?

PGC at around 1ish I reckon

  9. First year in CV fields and I will never look back - the ability to sleep on a relatively normal bed in our old caravan was invaluable.

Sunday morning re-entry queue back into site - need to either be in early, I would imagine 9-10ish would be fine, or anytime after 2-3ish. I was stood in the queue for what felt like an eternity. So either better timing to avoid or planning wisely, knowing you will be sat around for a bit.

Not to be really wonky on leaving the festival and being searched on the way out..!

  10. Had a thought today, would it be possible for the festival to put on a 4th Headliner and have someone open the stage on Thursday evening or something? Or maybe go all out and schedule an extra day of acts for the Thursday because of 85 bringing the big 5-0? Or is this just wishful thinking in my part?

  11. I saw the man from homes under the hammer entering site early Wednesday morning at pedestrian gate C, I met the lead singer from Fontaines DC at the Glade bar on Friday and my missus had a chat with Brooklyn Beckham on Saturday night.

  12. Loyle Carner was fantastic, on the tail end of a 4/5 day comedown he had me with a few tears with the engagement of his pals on stage!

Sports Team on Friday were amazing, I was in a real spot of bother (there is a bit of theme here) and the combination of having a man crush on the lead singer and the Bloody Mary got me back to where I needed to be..!

  13. I had the opportunity to see the cure in 2012 when they headlined Nos Alive in Lisbon. A combination of overindulging in booze and a really late set time (Starting at like 12.00) meant I missed out as I fell asleep at the back of the dance stage..! I felt like I owed it to Bob and the boys to see them headline the Pyramid.

The combination of his voice and the bands sound was amazing. I knew that at best I would know probably 1/2 the set, but forgot how many songs I did know. I felt that some of the people I was with had an unrealistic expectation for the set when they only knew 2-3 songs and felt disappointed by it which I didn’t feel was very fair!
