Me and Mrs.MEGABOWL had a look through a fan video of one of her O2 shows and I was unimpressed. Didn’t play a lot of stuff I like and when she did it was remixed or a snippet e.g. Into the Groove and Like a Prayer we’re tinkered with, Justify any Love was almost Bob Dylan-level unrecognisable. La Isla Bonita was cut short and Crazy For You was about 90 seconds. If it’s the same show I’ll pass.

That Sunday night paid out for everyone. Only fair after the mud and rain. BOH were really off colour. I’d seen them before and they were great at creating a real bonhomie. There was none of that at Glastonbury, which was a shame as they got a really big crowd. Read after that the singer had a little kid he was missing and they were all really homesick.

Arf. I was right near the front so I could see clearly but any further back you lose the ball at the far end if it goes in the air, and that’s in the supposedly OK seats. As a total tangent, I was about 3 rows from the pitch when Les Ferdinand scored with one of the hardest shots I’ve ever seen anyone hit. It was against my team but it was still astonishing.

That’s not on. That’s the differentiator for me. It should be clear what people are buying. As long as that’s the case it’s fine.

I can’t see a single reason why not, as long as everyone knows what they’re getting. I saw McCartney years ago on one and it was 50000 times better than being sat at home watching Emmerdale. Likewise my mate who had a seat in the away end at Loftus Road marked ‘diabolical view.’ Loads of people sell them, so do Theatres and football grounds. Why deprive people of the choice, where it’s restricted view or nothing?

Which is a shame as it’s ace. But yeah they’re deffo not an Other Stage topper. Would be great on Woodsies.

Can’t do a comparison with WV but we stayed in TF Base Camp last year and it was very decent, so much so we’ve booked again for next year. We were fairly lucky in being near the bottom of the incline (nothing steep BTW) and I reckon it was a 15 minute walk to Gate B. Two person tent had enough space for two plus two big rucksacks and two small bags plus a few other bits.

That looks great but my worry is it’ll get hijacked by the ‘first two albums were great because sad indie boy stuff and the rest sucks because pop’ crew and we’ll finish up stood in the Pyramid field with wristbands forlornly flashing as they huddle round the piano playing High Speed and Warning Sign.

It was. I tried to discount Coldplay as I’d seen them before (and at Glastonbury) but had only seen LCD once previously and never seen EW&F. So it was a choice between them. But there was a point in the evening, after underwhelming ELO and Band of Horses sets, stood in a muddy and sparsely populated Other field waiting for PJ Harvey, that I started to think of going to the Pyramid as they were the safe bet. Coldplay looked amazing but LCD is one of my favourite ever sets on the farm so can’t complain too much.

Looked amazing on the TV. 2011 was brilliant, one of the most joyous headline sets I’ve seen on the farm, so if 2016 was any better that would have been amazing (I went to LCD Soundsystem). Definitely up for them next year, not seen them since 2012 and it’s striking just how happy they look on that stage.

That doesn’t get attention

If people didn’t want to pay it they wouldn’t. If it’s that or not going at all some people are obviously happy to do so. I can’t understand the seethe about it. Nobody is forcing you or anyone else to buy tickets for it. You’re allowed to dislike her, but stop trying to make it it’s some moral objective thing. It’s really not.

Are you sure? Are you sure you’re not just going to plot up to tell everyone that she’s rubbish and they’re wrong to like her? Even though not doing that would be easier?

Doesn’t tally with the amount of grief they get for a lot, well let’s face it, most of them. Kanye, Stormzy, Eilish, GNR etc But of course if you’re trying to sell 130k tickets each year of course you want well known acts at the top of the bill. It’s just basic logic.
