  1. I don’t believe him.
  2. This is a really moving clip, showing Starmer in a different light that you don’t see often.
  3. Well this was a shock to no one.
  4. Business will do that but as of yet there is no sign Labour will scrap it. Just guff from The Guardian on a day when the focus is elsewhere.
  5. This article gives no indication that the workers rights plan will be scrapped.
  6. I’m not going to read the article but how can Johnson save the Tories when he’s not even an MP?
  7. If this is what the Tories genuine strategy is then they really are clueless.
  8. Do you really think next Jan?
  9. Keep an eye out on March 20th…
  10. If the last 24 hours has taught us anything it’s that the Tories will steal Labours economic plans them so those plans will be wrecked. So Labour should now not make any more of those plans public right up until an election campaign/manifesto launch, which means we’ll get a load not committals on what they’ll do now.
  11. That’s because the public regularly miss-understand public finances due to the media/Tories. The public genuinely feel that the U.K. is running out of money when we aren’t so believe we have to ‘balance the books’ and that Labour are irresponsible with public money. Labour can’t be straight with the public because of that so they have to tiptoe around this to make the public believe they will be responsible.
  12. Tax isn’t a bad thing at all but when the Tories try to claim they are cutting taxes it’s good to point out that they actually aren’t.
  13. Well well well, the Tories are increasing taxes again.
  14. Typical Tories, always lying and blaming others.
  15. I feel quite confident in saying that eventually (ie not straightaway) Labour will reverse cuts and spend more money on public services. It probably will mean tax rises when they get into power and they’ll eventually put their own fiscal rules in place. But they’ll want to do this in a way that doesn’t give the Tories/media any chance to claim they’re being irresponsible.
  16. There doesn’t need to be cuts, the Tories are choosing to do implement more cuts. Besides Labour have already announced policies where they’ll have to spend money so to say that Labour won’t spend just isn’t correct.
  17. They’ve given me no reason to think they won’t. Besides Labour know that better public services to ensure they get a 2nd term and the way to do that is through increased spending. They have to say they’ll be sensible with public spending now because the public incorrectly think Britain has little money left and the media will jump on the chance to claim Labour are going to spend lots.
  18. They will do, it’s what a Labour government does. They just have to show the public that they will be sensible with the money first because the public miss-understand how economies work.
  19. In the budget tomorrow it’s very likely that the Tories will cut even more spending to public services just to fund their tax cuts which no one wants anyway.
