  1. They will do, it’s what a Labour government does. They just have to show the public that they will be sensible with the money first because the public miss-understand how economies work.
  2. In the budget tomorrow it’s very likely that the Tories will cut even more spending to public services just to fund their tax cuts which no one wants anyway.
  3. What’s also baffling is that the Tories cut NI back in November which didn’t have any impact on the polls so they’ve thought let’s try that again. They have no clue.
  4. Trying to get that in place for April, that points to a May election.
  5. This pollster tends to be pretty swingy. Labour’s lead is the same as it was back at the beginning of Jan and end of Jan. It’ll probably swing back next week. The 2 main pollsters show very strong Labour leads still.
  6. The country was in a much better state than it is now after the last Labour government and that’s even taking into account the Crash. It’s the Tories that ruin this country again and again.
  7. Sky News saying Sunak isn’t going to announce a ban on marches.
  8. The government crest is on the lectern which means no general election. Booo
  9. Please be a general election!
  10. There’s maybe a few but this highlights why it’s so important Labour do their due diligence and get the right candidate in place rather than rush it like they did in Rochdale. They need to be sure come the general election that every candidate is a solid one and not a nut job like Ali.
  11. Galloway won’t retain the seat at the general election. He’s a vile human being and stands virtually no chance of retaining the seat. If Labour had done their due diligence and stood a candidate then they’d have taken the seat easily. This isn’t a crises for Labour at all.
  12. Which was one of the best governments and PMs we’ve ever had. The country is in such a bad state that it will take Labour time to turn it around especially if Hunt wrecks the country further with big tax cuts next month.
  13. It's also an election budget, they'll call one for May with these tax cuts.
  14. Labour are pretty much governing already with the amount of policies the Tories are stealing.
  15. I’m not sure about that, it was probably always available from the HoC Library or somewhere but the internet has definitely made them more readily available.
  16. Rory Stewart makes that point on his podcast, they vote because they are expected too and if it’s a 3 line whip then they potentially will lose the whip and the Party’s support (financial etc) if they go against the whip.
  17. Sadly not, constituents can only force a by-election via a recall petition in very specific circumstances such as a suspension of more than 10 days. Switching parties isn’t one of those reasons. It’s pretty silly.
  18. He’s has the whip withdrawn already, he’s technically an independent MP.
  19. I could be wrong but I think only the government can raise a confidence motion in the Speaker, so if/as the government don’t seem to want to get rid of him then I don’t see it happening.
  20. They don't have any power to do that and it doesn't look like anywhere near a majority of MPs want the Speaker replaced.
  21. The SNP and some backbench Tory MPs aren’t going to be able to get rid of the Speaker. I don’t think there should be another vote on a Gaza ceasefire when there was one last week anyway. It seems to be a waste of Parliamentary time when there’s plenty of other stuff for them to be looking at.
  22. Football bringing people together.
  23. I wonder if he’ll go to Reform.
