Keir Starmer became leader of the Labour Party just after they had been decimated in the 2019 general election and heavily down in the polls; they are now 15 points clear in the latest YouGov poll. He’s done a great job so far and given Labour a good chance of winning the next general election.

Wow! 15 point lead for Labour!

Labour have some good employment policies.

For sure.

Legislate to stop the cap from rising.

Labour have called for Parliament to be recalled next week due to the cost of living crises. The Tories will of course decline but it shows how little they care.

That’s what I was saying the other day. I am very wise.

We shouldn’t be complaining because apparently it’s not as bad for us even though our energy bills are set to rise to over £4k in October. There’s always one that tries to deflect the situation to cover up from the absolute state of things here.

We have to protect the energy firms and accept our place in this mess.

This is ultimately why we need to scrap the rise in the price cap and bring in a cap for businesses.

It was first utility but brought by Shell and rebranded as Shell Energy.

All other providers are the same, I have looked. Shell Energy is owned by the oil giant Shell so they are one of the same and don’t need to put their prices up. The cap gets reviewed every 3 months now. That is Labours plan, they will tax the energy companies on their additional profits and will use that to fund cancelling the cap rising. So under their plan the public wouldn’t be paying more than they are now and would have some certainty.
