  1. Can confirm, we watched a bit while we were walking up to the Park, barely anyone there. She's had 2 well acclaimed albums since though according to Google so maybe she has a stronger following. Wouldn't see her as a massive deal or big enough to headline large events though.
  2. Skrillex would be awesome. Saw him on the Other Stage in 2014 and the Mothership on stage blew my mind!
  3. if you're into Hip-Hop, it's worth listening to some tracks he featured on with huge artists. Crew Love by Drake is one of his best, the vocals are pretty amazing. This was far before he was massively famous, though.
  4. Glad this post helped people! They’re gone now obviously. See you on the farm!
  5. Thought I’d post that despite ‘selling out’ over an hour ago, Sunday tickets are still available to locals only. Hope this helps someone! https://glastonbury.seetickets.com/event/sunday-tickets/worthy-farm/2500003
  6. Yeah, friends at Boomtown in the same year (I think?) said they were awesome too. Really strange.
  7. I don't, they were bloody awful in 2011 and also terrible at Lollapalooza in Paris in 2018. In 2018 they were only interested in playing their new songs (from The Now Now), all of their classics just played on a screen behind them including a lot of the vocals. It's a shame because I saw them on the Plastic Beach tour in 2010 and it was great, but they seem to have gone downhill.
  8. I'd actually counter this, he was fantastic at Reading 2013 - as you've said it's more of a hype man style (we had Mr Porter also on stage) but it went down very well. I've seen most of the greats and Eminem was probably one of the most intense, up there with Travis Scott. For Glastonbury, I'm not sure if Eminem would use a hypeman as I'd class it as a more mainstream show, so I'm not sure the format would work. I'd love to see a revolving door of affiliated artists as he's done some great collaborations. Kendrick was a rare one because it was artistically driven, I'd say to an extent maybe too much as there were some periods where you wondered what was going on - bit different in a festival setting. He's up there in my top 5 for hip hop performances though!
  9. Haha, fair point - more by sentiment than status
  10. Disagree, I think we won. Absolutely can’t stand her, she’s not a Glastonbury artist if she’s more worried about the money anyway. Although I bet it’s great seeing her knowing that she only wants the pay out of it so have fun with that 🙄
  11. You know what, if they announced this for Glastonbury 2023 it would be my personal best lineup ever. Got very excited before I realised it was an old one! Explains why Nero is on the top line and Tyler, the Creator is in the tiny writing.
  12. Actually ran into the owner of the Meat Machine in July as he was hired for our friends wedding, he was really happy to hear that people remember and really enjoyed his food. Just a little deviation!
  13. Refreshinator was successful for me getting tickets, refreshing every 0.01 second, although not until after tickets apparently 'sold out'. Obviously there were huge issues with the site but it shows how many people were trying if it took this long, so solely leaving it to 20 second refresh would put you at a disadvantage in my view. If you do use this, I would recommend using a connection like a VPN or mobile data so that you don't get rate limited on your main connection (albeit an urban legend that this happens).
  14. I had 3 devices running all using separate network connections, in the end I just let my phone work on it as the sole device. First time I saw a ticket page was 10:15, tickets bought by 10:18. I don’t think there’s any trends to be successful, entirely luck in my view.
  15. Dang, there seemed to be a massive issue with banking verification this year. Good luck for the resale 😀
  16. Yep, it'll be a Thursday and Sunday again (same times and methods as before) in April most likely. But since the general sale was moved up by a month, could it be May?
  17. Similar time to me, pressing the next button just PRAYING that the pages didn't time out. After 2 attempts to put the Reg numbers in, the payment sailed on through.
  18. I had no issues and I was hitting the site at 0.1 second - Refreshinator took until after the ticket sale to get through though, but somehow was still successful.
  19. From memory isn't it normally around when the local Sunday ticket sale is? I'm struggling to find any information on this but previously it was at midday (6 minutes time). I wish they'd have an extended FAQ section being that the website is currently inaccessible.
  20. Absolutely no idea how, but tickets secured at 10:20am for 5 of us!! Refreshinator got to the reg page for the first time at 10:15 (about a minute before Event Not Found came up) - entered details once and it crashed, entered again and it very slowly walked me through the process. Payment with Tesco Bank was very smooth. 9th Glastonbury in a row! See you on the farm (oo-arr!)

  22. Sadly not, all has to be the same coaches from same location.
  23. On both sides, it's also the exposure they get afterwards. No coincidence that their careers or album sales rocket after playing a key Glastonbury set!
  24. I think this is where it comes down to perceived and not necessarily monetary value. If you saw maybe 5 performers a day on Avalon (15 in total) and you enjoyed most of them, you'd probably feel like it's justified the cost. Value can be emotive as well as just based on finances. Pound for pound though, I totally get what they're saying. Source: My job is to maintain the feeling of value or Return on Investment for my customers to make sure they don't leave us.
  25. Wow. Absolutely huge rise, I really hope it doesn't get to the stage where it isn't profitable to run anymore. I do appreciate that they make millions in profit, but most of that goes to NGOs. My worry is the festival stopping altogether more than this increase. Rules it out for a lot of people though. Although, if you consider Swedish House Mafia were charging around £120, even Drake in 2019 was £115, Coldplay tickets are also around this figure. Still great value for money but it's getting above what the average person can afford to spend.
