    The Growler

Last year, a friend had a wedding at Pennard House (big Glastonbury fans, coming with us this year) and hired the bloke who founded The Growler. I got to have one in the evening and it was delicious! The owner was saying he now caters for events/weddings but wouldn't ever look to go back to Glastonbury due to the sheer cost. I would recommend tracking him down if you'd like one again!
  2. Right opposite the Premier Inn and Casino, towards the roundabout 😊 you can't miss it, they have SEE Coaches marshals in vests there too.

    The churnups

There's an age old story (published by quite a few music news outlets) that GFL do not work with RHCP as they pulled out at the last minute many years ago. Given the controversy that still exists with Anthony Kiedis too, I'd say they wouldn't ever book them again.

Equally, Foos would be far too big to put on any other stage (I'd actually say far moreso than Pulp) so I think from a capacity perspective it could still be either.
  5. Mine has arrived! Love the design this year. Had to redact most of the details but this should give you the idea.
  6. Can confirm you can do it on £20 a day, I have done for many years as I don't buy many drinks at the festival (only a few at the Cider Bus). Look for the 'Food for a Fiver' vendors and you could theoretically get 4 meals a day for that budget. It's worth considering that you'd probably feel far worse watching the event on TV if Glastonbury means a lot to you, so it's worth attending and making the most of what you have 😊
  7. Park TBA I think could be Skrillex on the Saturday. Four Tet and Fred Again are both playing (Skrillex has been playing extremely frequently with them), the act after the TBA is dubstep according to the description and Fatboy Slim closes. Fits the electronic theme for the evening!
  8. Yep, this comment was before this was announced 😊
  9. Bath postcode here, "Tickets are in stock and will be despatched shortly to the address provided."
  10. Always love Newton Faulkner.. I remember several years ago he was on the Other stage performing in solely his Y-fronts! His best comment was "hey, it's cold up here okay?" 😂
  11. I think if you've been there since the Wednesday, the festival can occasionally get a little overwhelming with all the crowds and walking between stages, so it's a good place to escape. Also it's great just to get some shade if it's hot!
  12. Ben Howard (who I could see high-ish on the pyramid) as he has a hole in his dates and Skrillex. Skrillex because both Fred Again and Four Tet (under the moniker Morning Side) are playing and he's done a lot of shows with them recently. Wouldn't surprise me if he does a low key show somewhere or maybe a guest appearance with one of the other two.
  13. Nice! that sounds awesome. I first saw them at the Masked Ball in Porthleven in 2012, which was based on the side of a cliff. Loved them ever since 😄
  14. Makes sense, not sure in my 8 years that I've ever been - quite nice when these acts move around
  15. Surprised that Stanton Warriors aren't on there as historically they very often played there - they've confirmed on Facebook that they're attending. Trying to think what other stage they could play!
  16. Mantra of the Cosmos as one of the TBAs, Shaun Ryder confirmed they were playing.
  17. Absolutely, I'm expecting even worse for Fatboy Slim on Park but I'm not missing that! Will probably look at the times when they go up and form a plan.
  18. Such a solid lineup for the Thursday. I've wanted to try and see Faithless for years (albeit a DJ set) so this persuaded me to arrive on the Wednesday evening!
  19. Yes, certainly get that sense - Glade lineup on a sunny Friday would be amazing!
  20. One of my absolute favourites, Stanton Warriors have confirmed! Fantastic, world famous breakbeat DJs. Would highly recommend! Not sure on stage or date/time yet but they've mostly played Glade previously and this would lineup with an impending announcement.
  21. It looks like it could be easier as it's right on the A361 exit wise, but I'm sure it'll take just as long.
  22. Yes will do, Paul's response is also very helpful. Thanks all!
  23. Brilliant, this was exactly my thoughts. I'll come from Shepton Mallet so best go around to Glastonbury and then back east. Thank you!
  24. Sorry, by car! We are camping at Darble. I live nearer Bath so I'll be coming to/from Pilton direction.
  25. Hey all, I've decided to book a parking space at Ashcombe Park, since it's close to the festival (I may need to come in and out for care giving reasons) and has 24hr security patrol. https://ashcombepark.com The website shows a pin drop to get there, which also has co-ordinates. Now normally this would be very easy, but I'm conscious that the festival will be re-routing traffic to minimise the chaos. Does anyone have any tips/tricks of best directions to go, what to say to festival crew (etc) to easily get there? Is it best to approach the car park from an alternate direction etc? Any advice would be massively appreciated. Thanks! (By the way, currently spaces are still available at £60 if anyone is looking for parking.)
