No sign of the cider bus yet?

Sat counting down the minutes until The Boss tonight, nice big pre-festival gig!

Ok....so let's just remember that various media outlets (you know who you are Somerset Live...) trawl these boards for anything they can print.
While I'm certain that all discussion here is because we have genuine concern for Michael's welfare we need to be a little wary of idle speculation that could possibly get into the wider public domain.
I'm sure that when Michael and Emily feel time is right to open up, and possibly not at all, then they will.
Until then let's do all we can to ensure their privacy on this.
Cheers folks x
Well said!

I'll be just about leaving the hotel for Bristol Bus Station. Last time they didn't give a damn about which time you'd booked, so hopefully can just walk onto any coach waiting there.
Once on the coach... first swig of rum? Possibly.
They were a bit more ‘on it’ last year, they turned a few chancers away for the 6:30am bus that had tickets for the 7am. Standards will likely slide as the day goes on though.

As long as the queue at gate A has ran smoothly, I should be setting up in Big Ground, anticipating that first drink from the cider bus.

Holy moly I never knew these flavours existed! I’m now going to have to track them down!!

Has anyone ever seen anywhere on site that does iced coffees? If it’s warm it would be nicer than hot coffee I reckon, and I’m bring hazelnut vodka that would be superb in iced coffee!

I can't sleep until 10 in my own bed! Maybe I should move in to a Fresh & Black tent....
I’m the same, rarely sleep past 8 nowadays. But I’m so exhausted at Glastonbury and don’t get to bed until 3/4am that I just zonk out. Before I got the Fresh & Black I’d be up before 9 due to the heat, even in wet years.

Sh*t shirts, shorts & trainers. Boots if it’s wet and a rain coat/poncho.

Pretending to work but really scrolling through these forums. Concentration on any non-Glastonbury topics will be at a minimum.

Seriously though, I'm really happy to have purchased it. Smaller, lighter than my current one which means putting it on the plane won't be a problem. My current tent also doesn't have a porch really and I always just get ready in the tent bar my shoes and only open the door enough to stick my feet out to do the laces up and then it's a mad dash to get out before any rain comes in, hahaha. I'm gonna have a looky for an extension though now - didn't even know they were available!
The black out element is great for my partner who needs it pitch black. The cooling element is great for me as I run hot. Last year we slept in til 10am most days, popped into a mates tent around the same time and it was so humid in there I wouldn’t have been able to sleep in that!

Brought this guy home today.
Plunged for the three man in the end because when I compared it in the shop, it's only an extra 20 Euro, but you get way more space and the actual carry bag is barely any bigger or heavier, like 5cm wider and 500g heavier - but still a good 20cm smaller than my old pop up tent from circa 2010. Lighter too.
This is the same tent I have, this will be its fourth Glastonbury. Works great at keeping it dark and cool. Only problem is once you open the ‘door’ you’re straight out into the field, there is no porch protection. In case of rain we bought an add-on that acts as a porch area to protect the bedroom from any rain and gives us chance to take off any wet gear before getting inside the tent proper. Not that there will be any rain or mud this year!

Neighbours are airing out their tent in the shared garden, really want to go ask them if it’s Glastonbury prep, but my partner says that’s weird 😂

Current plan is to watch Editors, then food/drink/piss and squeeze into Pyramid and worm my way as close as possible.

I guess that makes me free for Chvrches again, was so excited about potentially seeing Pulp at Glastonbury though!

Love seeing the Tipis going up, i think of them as such a Glastonbury thing, excitement building!

Dispatch email came on Thursday, tracker never worked for me, woken this morning by a loud knock on the door, postie said ‘here’s your Glastonbury tickets, I’ve signed for them’. Certainly eased the hangover, countdown is on!

Bristol has been bathed in sun for at least a week, maybe two? I’ve not worn anything but shorts since mid May.

Near West Holts I think, heading towards the railway line?
Thanks, that’ll please my partner, she loves Arancini!

I think I had my best year for food last year.. really hoping the arancini stall will be back and I know Mexican Seoul is going to be there (and probably Bayou and the waffle place I ate brekkie at every day). Hungry just thinking about it!
Ooo where was the arancini stall?

Had the dispatch email this morning, excited now!

Ticket price + coach travel + drinks to bring = £420, then I usually spend £300 whilst on site on mainly food but a few cold drinks as well. Tops out at £720 which I’m comfortable with for the amount of fun I have.

I think it’s Pulp, I’m seeing them the following weekend in London anyway but Pulp at Glastonbury is a different class. Sad to miss Chvrches but I’m all in for the Churnups at this point!
What have you done today to get ready for Glastonbury 2023?

Moved the various piles of stuff from the spare bedroom to the living room. Looked at it with concern and concluded I’ll never be able to carry all of it.
