  1. At the risk of jinxing it, there was a very significant chance this festival was going to get cancelled and now with a mere three weeks to go, we’re past the point of no return both in that the organisers have committed and the govt can’t do a u-turn (for once). Game on!
  2. In fairness the Orbital and Leftfield day was both an epic dual booking and pretty full if I recall.
  3. They know all the stage splits right now so can’t see why they’d really hold them back.
  4. Absolutely. Their emails smelled of desperation. But in the end the lineup and venue just didn’t excite for £50.
  5. Anyone know if National Express are fussy about how much luggage you take? Being a festival, inevitably there’s quite a lot needed.
  6. Disappointing from a band called See You Soon.
  7. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2021/aug/05/uk-live-events-sector-promised-covid-insurance-scheme-festivals-sunak Wait until the point where the events sector no longer needs insurance to make insurance available. Bunch of clowns…
  8. They’ve both officially cancelled End of the Road i.e. they’re not crossing the pond any more to tour.
  9. 3 people doesn't constitute an 'unbelievable amount of people' in my book, particularly given 15,000 people are expected to join...
  10. It would be lazy if so, as there are plenty of acts from e.g. Wide Awake that are surely available
  11. If you power walk you can do that distance in 25 mins or better still get the regular tram a couple of stops towards Glories and then it’s less than 5 mins.
  12. We'll lose a couple more to Covid too. Hope they have Beak on standby...
  13. Spoiler for Albarn https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/damon-albarn/2021/henham-park-southwold-england-238fc04f.htmla
  14. No Tuneyards or Whitney on the Monday now…
  15. Albarn a good add! Bit gutted no Beak (or the Anchoress or Margaret Glapsy…)
  16. Well true but also true: - They were wearing masks in Spain, which won't happen at EOTR - Spain in fact has a higher vaccination rate than the UK (the UK govt is very good at not reporting this) I think the risk is likely comparable but the risk is low.
  17. Looks like it’s cancelled altogether They also hadn’t announced any bands and then said was only available to double vaccinated people. Hopefully no bearing on EOTR though https://www.irishmirror.ie/news/irish-news/electric-picnic-2021-laois-county-24689253.amp?fbclid=IwAR1Py_zLxgtzLYmFO1TRwx_y67RZ9AX6_8ARio1zM9TjIuSXeMgLyhGhfPM
  18. https://www.catalannews.com/covid-19/item/covid-infection-rate-among-july-festival-goers-76-higher-than-average
  19. Spanish study has shown that people attending outdoor festivals with antigen testing and no social distancing were 76% more likely to get covid. Not saying for a moment that EOTR shouldn’t go ahead but is worth acknowledging the risk is higher.
  20. With only 29 days to go and a tonne of other things for them to think about, it feels too late to be adding more than a band or two at this stage. And all bands will have been booked for a specific date. So would love the day splits before the week is out, c’mon guys, Green Man had theirs out by now!
  21. Looks pretty definite to me, good spot. You have to admire them attempting a European tour in the midst of all of this.
  22. He’s referring to the fact the U.K. govt will make him and his band pay for a rip off Day 2 PCR test.
  23. Has anyone worked out when the first day in August you need to be ultra, ultra careful is so you don’t end up testing positive by the first day of EOTR?
