I think an example clashfinder (as in an old one) is very useful/fun, especially as gives someone new to the festival an idea of how the festival all fits together staging and time wise.
But totally agree with Quadrophobia. A guessed clashfinder will be miles out for identifying clashes. Way too many bands and stages. I don't want to look at my two favourite bands, think phew they don't clash, only to later find out that they do.

I don't really undestand the speculative clashfinders, they have never been close to the real one apart from the headliners.
Me neither for such a large festival as this. They make you think there is a clash when there isn't. And make you think you've avoided a clash when in fact there is one. Should be called clashnotfinder.

Fingers crossed for more good names perhaps today and also hopeful of getting the comedy lineup in the next week.

Did tickets ever go on sale? You could buy this years Kalorama at last years physically.
Yes, same.

Might be a bit presumptuous of me, but I don't think they'll need generate big clashes on Thursday (Pulp x Vampire Weekend x Deftones x Beth Gibbons ), mainly because it's usually the day with the fewest people at the festival. They usually don't have big crowd controls that day. Another thing is that someone might have a very diverse taste or want to see artists from very different genres... (Freddie Gibbs & Madlib x Deftones for example)
Similarly, I don't think artists like Kim Petras, Peggy Gou, and A.G Cook (for example), who cater to a specific audience, will clash that day. However, I do believe that on Friday and Saturday there will be deliberate big overlaps due to the bigger crowds
Yeah, the Thursday was practically empty in the first weekend in 2022 ; )
(kidding, I know what you mean)

Agree with above comments.
Extra complication as I wonder if some bands request the early Mordor slot if they have to play a daytime show somewhere in Europe the next day.

and what performances or artists do you think will be in Mordor, apart from the obvious ones?
I'd say it's not really possible to make an educated guess as to who will be on Mordor early,. Just too many possible candidates.

Yeah at least for me the run is pretty clear on Thursday... Minor act 1 > Minor act 2 > Beth Gibbons > Deftones > Vampire Weekend > Pulp > Justice
.
I would be astonished if Beth Gibbons isn't on much later and clashing with one of those names. I know they won't but if only they could put her on in Auditori and early on, it would have been perfect.

Hoping they add Anna Calvi as a late bonus. She is in Europe touring at same time.

No idea if legit

It's dead isn't it now? Or at least dead the possibility of having it in Malaga region.

They really missed a chance to get Pulp to open with Razzmatazz in Razzmatazz on the Weds, instead of the National gig.

I see Blur and Pulp as extremely similar in terms of same era, same feelings of nostalgia evoked and same number of anthemic songs.

Also maybe Beth Gibbons as final Garden headliner?
A bit ambitious I’d say.
What day for the announcement is likely?

Another vote for not being bothered by LDR. Kinda looking forward to going to the small stages that day and discovering some up and coming stuff.

Of EOTR size? Not a lot that have been announced and aren't already there. Goat Girl, maybe. John Grant's got a new one coming but he'd likely have been added by now. Cassandra Jenkins was a big fan of EOTR and just announced a new record this week. Les Savy Fav would be quite something for late night Big Top (though I'm leaning towards English Teacher taking that slot, both because the festival evidently loves them and they're now a top ten album act)
Sorry, I meant who is already down as playing.
Who has a new album from the current lineup due soon?

Which acts have albums out between now and August?

Some cancellations and replacements next week I reckon.

Beth Gibbons won't be at Mordor. Amazon feels most likely to me.

Makes sense. Though if we dont have a date or even an announcement that there's an album on the way, I think it wont come out before the festival
Yep, only 40 days to go after all.

Tick tock. They can't wait until May to announce an August festival...

Let’s have some great new names this morning please. Last year’s second batch were so strong.
